Interesting article (if you like stats and history) on the BBC website a few weeks ago about the latest date in the season that a club has ever kept the chance of a quadruple alive.

It underscores what a challenge it is. In 62 years, there have been 120 attempts at the quadruple by 15 different clubs. At the time of the article, Liverpool were fifth in the list as, at that point, they had kept it alive until 20th March. Now, with a place in the FA Cup final secured and the second leg of our Champions League semi-final scheduled for 3rd May, we will go to the top of the list by keeping the quad alive at least until 3rd May. The current best is Chelsea who took it to 1st May in 06/ 07 (when we knocked them out of the Champions League semi final) .

No trophies for this alone, of course, and it's not something anybody will remember or talk about but it's a small measure of what this team has achieved this year. Personally I don't think we'll win the quadruple. I just don't think we can win so many matches, several against high quality opposition, under so much pressure in such a short period of time (whilst City slip up) . Hopefully we can at least win one of the big two.

I think Chelsea will beat us in FA Cup final as revenge for the League Cup final defeat; City won’t drop more points than us and will win the league; and if Real get through we will win the Champions League and avenge 2018 but if City get through they will avenge the fa cup semi final defeat and beat us. It’s all about revenge and avenge and the stars aligning!

The thing is they tried to play out from the back a bit against Arsenal, made a mess of it, conceded first and then had to push up a bit to chase the game.

They won't do that against us. I see another 0-0.

Amazingly we’ve not beaten Chelsea in 90 mins this season in 3 attempts. I really hope we put them to bed in 90 mins in the FA Cup. Not sure my heart can take another 22 penalties.

Chelsea are a very good cup team but we’ve hit our best form at the right time. I genuinely believe Liverpool will win all their remaining games this season no matter who they play. We just have to pray that one of the mid table teams can take something off City!

Rudiger was not on the team sheet. And Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz came on in the second half. The result was not that surprising.
