Cheers seano, didn't get to see the game so I appreciate it. One question though, was Keita allowed to be in a tank on the pitch? "Drove firearms" seems unfair to city! 🤣.

I guessed that City would have to change a few players but I never thought Ederson would be rested in a Semi final against Liverpool. That was a strange decision and proved to be costly.

Thank you very much Seano.

Good summary seano.

Agree entirely that the changes in their lineup affected their play completely. With no ederson they weren’t able to play out as easily as they do. Plus Walker really does get up and down, they missed that a lot.

With circumstances as they are, can’t help but keep looking at city’s fixtures… so here’s hoping those players stay out of the lineup for a little longer!

Great review Seano mate. Really entertaining match to watch. Honestly thought vvd’s positioning wasn’t great on a number of occasions but he made up for it by shouting at the rest of the lads. 😏 ah in fairness, it might well have just been the legend not being used to konate but hopefully with every game they’ll improve. Thought keita played just like Gini today- busy. I thought it was telling that salah didn’t come off. I wonder will he be benched for Utd game. onwards and all that.

If Pep needed to win this match we would have seen a different City. I think at this stage of the season he is going all out for the Champions League and Premier League, if he had managed a win today then yeah he would have took it but I don't see him being too worried if he can get the other two trophies.
The only problem is he has just helped Liverpool players to get their tails up and we will be going all guns for the 4! Also he will be meeting a Madrid team who will surely believe that the CL is theirs after their Chelsea games and they have the experience that City don't have. Is it possible City could end up with a big zero at the end of the season? I think it is very possible.
I'll settle for any three of the remaining trophies, but Klopp won't.

Great summary, Seano. That first half is the best I have seen us play in weeks and it can’t at the right time as well. We were on them like white on rice gefrommeld the off and there were too many very good to great individual perfs. fir City to overcome today, in my view.

The City lineup? Not arsed one but. A billion spent and Cm can’t find a decent no. 2 GK? Then, Pep should have a word with his recruitment dept. They still put out a good enuff team and had we played the first half like the one last Sun at the Etihad, this selection would have given us fits do I ain’t trying to hear it.

They got battered and the score flattered them. Oh and one more stat: This is the first time City have conceded 3 goals in the first half since April of 2018 in the first half of the CL quarters vs… Liverpool at Anfield. On to the mancs.

Great review
Klopp’s decision to change the FA cup goalie to Alisson and Pep’s to stick with Steffen might very well be the difference in who claims the cup in a month’s time
Let’s go win it now!

Same thoughts about Mane too. He probably is not the electrifying winger anymore but as a striker in our team, I think he fits in nicely

Just hoping Diaz adds a bit more end product to his game but having him to occupying Cancelo in this game blunted City massively.

God, I'd actually forgotten about the Sterling freekick at the end.

That was one of the most hilarious things I've seen at this high a level of football.

If I posted even one percent as much as I read this site, I’d be on a par with Barry (love your posts mate! ), but I absolutely HAVE to commend Steve Wilson on the BBC commentary for how he dealt with the City ‘fans’ abuse of the minute’s silence yesterday. Touch of genuine class in a moment that was difficult for anyone with any humanity to witness.

Oh yea
I felt at peace when sterling was the one who took the Fk. Surely Mahrez May have worked Alisson at least?

We had class on and off the pitch
City had none after some of their fans decided to be idiots. Sad that every club has such and its really disappointing they choose to disrespect the 97 and their loved ones.
