That looked offside.

{Ed0666's Note - for sure thought that was off but what a fantastic decision by the ref for not giving a pen to forest for the alleged trip by Ali

Deffo not a pen. He dragged his leg over Becker's arm.

Both decisions were spot on. The Forest player was already on his way down when his foot caught Ali's arm.
Me and my lad were absolutely convinced Jota was offside for his goal until they showed it with the line drawn across.
Cracking game of football, what it lacked in football quality it made up for in endeavour and effort.

I thought that they only had VAR at Premier League grounds?

I thought it was offside until the replay. Although the replay didn't look like that line was straight when you reference the 18 yard box 🤫. Anyone else notice that? Either way off to the semis!

Every ground from quarter final onwards is licensed for VAR.

Sorry it's the 6 not the 18.

I must admit at the time I thought it was a pen, but on reflection I was wrong. Proper cup tie yesterday but the offside one just shows what angles do to the picture.

No pen, for sure. The guy was dragging his foot b4 he even got near Ali's arm so in essence if Ali gets injured off the contact then that is a foul on Ali. Then, he stumbles to the ground and then, tries to get back up to chase the ball. Make up your mind, bro. Now, I will say that had the ref given the pen, I do NOT see VAR overturning it cos well, they have to protect each other with the whole "Clear and Obvious) rubbish cos that is what they hide behind right now, IMO. Great game, credit to Forest and their fans and we move on.
