Listen, I absolutely love Milner and think he’s been one of the best signings made in the past decade but let’s face it, he’s lost his edge at the very top of the game and there’s no shame in that given his age. I’d rather the wages we will spend on him over the next year or 2 be spent on salah’s new contract.

I don't think LFC can't pay Salah 400k-500k a week when our turn-over is over 500M. Think it's more to do with he's age and upsetting the dressing room for a player as good as he is will need replacing in 2 yrs so it makes no-sense unless Klopp pushes for him like he did during Hendo contract. Coz once Thiago was given high wages wiji and Hendo wanted the same imagine if Salah is given 400-500k?

Klopp wants Milner around so why shouldn't he get a new contract? Fantastic role model for any young player. I'd even sanction a contract for him just to play in the u23's as an overage player to show the younger lads how its done.

His performances have been dipping for some time! being a great player for us and i understand what people say about having him around but as one poster said, his fairly large wages could be put towards sorting Salahs contract. Even without Millie we have 7 players going for 3 spots in midfield.8 if you count Carvalho.

Salah has easily got 4 years left in him for me. Top professional.
Personally having milly around for 1 more season is a good idea. just for cover though. His legs have gone but perhaps get him into the coaching set up somewhere.

Will be interesting to see what the outgoing are to see how much of that turnover is really available. Eds do we know when the accounts will be out? End of March?
