Milner, Ox-Chamberlain, Keita, Origi, Minamino, Kelleher, Nat Phillips, Rhys Williams, Neco will all go permanently this summer. Now for the contentious bit, I would also look to move Thiago, Firmino, Mane on too.
We should sign Salah up to a further 3 year contract first and foremost, then look to bring in Carvalho as Klopp clearly wants the lad and I trust that judgement.
I would be really pleased if we got Bowen, Bissouma and some cover for RB and I would be happy with our business.
It would be open strongest squad for a long time and Bowen, Carvalho also help with the HG quota.

I would keep milner, neco and firmino.
Milner and firmino if willing to take smaller roles would be ace, neco is a great backup.
Agree on the rest,

It's way too early to say any of this with conviction. Origi and Phillips are the only ones i wouldn't dispute as dead certs to leave.

We haven't played 1 game yet since the last window shut. Have a day off.

So you think we’d be better up top with Bowen instead of mane and firmino?! It does feel that sometimes fans want change for the sake of change.

Firmino has performed well this season when fit, especially given he’s been in rotation. Mane remains one of the best left forwards in the league. I like Bowen, but not at the expense of firmino and mane. Also where would Bowen fit in, given he plays on the right?

Don’t see any logical reason for letting me kell go. Excellent young keeper who is getting game time and is important for our squad.

I would still keep Thiago. Clearly an excellent player and even if he can’t stay fit the whole season, I think he can be of value.

Can’t really complain about the rest although still hold hope for ox. That being said, a decent offer for him would obviously have to be considered.

There is not a single shred of a chance that 9-12 players in the squad are going to leave this summer.
Just wishful thinking from fans with transfer fever.

I’ll say max 3 of them players will leave next season!
Way too much sentimental carry on at the club ox origi Keita etc should of been gone long ago!

The curious case of Sadio Mane.

I think it’ll be a case of we don’t know what we had until it’s gone.

For me he’s still our 2nd best forward and the best left winger in the league despite being a natural right winger.

Diaz looks like he has a lot of potential but he’s yet to play a minute of Premier League football. And Bowen has had a good season but still has less league goals than Mane who is apparently stinking up the league.

Fair play to Bowen he has more assists but creating chances is not our problem. The only difference between a chance created and an assist is the finish.

The fact we would probably sell Mane for 40 mill and have to pay double to bring in Bowen who is unproven in the CL and over consistent premier league seasons tells me it’s a no go deal (only my opinion)

Would I be against Bowen coming in. The answer is no. I’ll back any player Klopp wants. But hopefully it’s not at the expense of Mane.

Sooner or later you've got to change our front three. Old father time waits for no one but its all down to timing and I honestly can't think what is actually best for the team. Is Bowen value at £80 million, if that's his price? I certainly wouldn't think so.

As the OP suggested, I think it is time we had a clear out, that much to me is certain. For me Thiago needs to go, we can't have a £200,000 a week cheer leader. At those figures he needs to be playing and no one can guarantee that. There's a lot of wages freed up if all those players went, maybe just not enough transfer fees.

Personally I’d let Matip go and keep Phillips, with Konate and Joe fighting for the starting spot next to Virg.

We’re already on the borderline with the HG Quota, so keeping a 31 year old Matip over Phillips doesn’t make too much sense to me with Joel’s poor injury record (admittedly not so much this season) . Yes Phillips might rightly want more game time, but if he’s elevated to 4th choice, he’ll start all the cup games and maybe some CL games like this season. He’s a million miles ahead of R Williams.

Irish agree mate but the front 3 are just or have turned 30. They not ready for the retirement home just yet lol.

Agree though on the Thiago situation and it’s not just him who are on high wages and miss games.

The following all get paid more than Mane who doesn’t miss games, Thiago, Milner, Ox, Hendo, Kieta, Bobby and Allison and they are all but are guaranteed to miss chunks of seasons through niggles and injuries.

I would say out of those you have mentioned JK that only Hendo and Allison are definitely certs to say. The rest could easily be shown the door this Summer, so maybe that might help our injury issues?

What i will say about Mane and Salah is that the very best forwards do seem to be still producing into their 30s, Lewandoski for instance. Plenty of other examples too, so who knows 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️.

Irish agree mate. I think if Mane becomes available at 30-40 mill then lots of clubs are looking at him.

If he was at a European club now in the same situation the same fans wanting him gone would probably be lambasting the owners to go for him 🤣.

{Ed0666's Note - 30-40 mill for Mane? He only has 18 months left on his contract

06 Feb 2022 14:07:05
Ed0666 will be 12 months mate by time next window opens.

What do you think he would go for then?

We paid 40 mill for Ox with 12 months to go.

{Ed0666's Note - that was pre-Covid mate not many clubs will pay big money for players in this financial climate. If we get 25 mill for him that would be about par I think.

14.) 06 Feb 2022
06 Feb 2022 14:33:12
Ed066 for me he’s still the best left winger and one of the best forwards in the league. His wages compared to lot of forwards is relatively low. To sell for that price would be crazy.

{Ed0666's Note - no one knows what he’s being paid apart from his agent and the select few in and around the club. It’s customary for clubs to give players wage increases on the quiet. I’m not saying we couldn’t get 40 mill for him I’m just saying I don’t think anyone will pay that much mate.

Honestly, I believe the club will assess the performance of Luis Diaz over the next 6 months and then assess the value in keeping Mane or listening to any offers
Mane has been excellent for us and given good memories, but I feel this Liverpool management will be open to selling.

{Ed0666's Note - I think mane goes regardless of what happens with Diaz. We have two younger players who can play the mane role and it would be folly to keep him.

16.) 06 Feb 2022
06 Feb 2022 15:14:25
For me Bobby goes.

We have Jota and Diaz to play the mane role but Bobbys struggling to play the Bobby role. Mane, Salah and Jota can all play there.

Mane and Jota have twice the output and half the salary.

No other forward in world football is on 180k a week and scoring in 2 league games out of 13.

For me it’s Origi, Minamino, one of Mane/ Firmino (whoever isn’t happy to fight for their place), Ox/ Naby (last chance to stay fit for both), Milner, both Williams’, Phillips to all move on.

Carvalho, Raphina, Bissouma, and a RB version of Tsimikas (been impressed with the forest lad Spence although MOTD fever) to come in.

I’d be delighted with that, leaves us with good depth and a mix of youth, mid 20s and experienced pros in the squad.

However, add, I’d also be delighted with just Carvalho and Bellingham/ tchouemani.

The squads looking very strong, 2 biggest signings we could possibly make are Salah extending, and even more importantly klopp extending.
