Do people on here still think Jarrod Bowen is not our level yet or will ever be?

Spotting the upside in. players is half the battle.

Much closer to our level than Origi and Minamino anyway.

Ah look a post that has nothing to do with our current players but someone decides to pick two out to bash for no reason….

Bowen does seem pretty handy and knows where the goal is. Unfortunately WHU know what he’s worth so he would not be cheap. Pays for what you gets though. Could he be an LFC regular? Yes I would think so.

Careful Kloppers, you'll upset somebody. And you can't be doing that.

Bowen is hard working, skilful and on an upward curve. But I think he’s out of what we would pay. I like the lad and think he’d be an excellent signing.

Cheers super Jock. Shouldn’t you be washing your skirt and supporting Celtic or Rangers.

Jason, completely agree. Sick of the positive Petra on here that think this team is perfect and the untested kids are the future. Great teams have always built on success, we’re going backwards! Ferguson, as much as it pains me to say it strengthened his team every season up until the end. We’re not doing that and we’ll pay the price and go back into that transition period.

Wonder how he would go being a bench player with limited minutes.

{Ed002's Note - Sat between Mbappe and Kounde I am sure he will be fine and they can find things to talk about.}

Whether he’s good enough or not is irrelevant if we can’t/ won’t pay the money. This isn’t the ‘got ya’ people think it is.

We had 17 shots tonight……1 on target.

New players? We cannot even sort Salah’s contract out.
I am reading comments from Klopp that things are progressing and Salah that they are not progressing but nothing from FSG.
It is making me jumpy that he is already gone.
It is hard to sell Mane or Salah because nobody else has money, apart from PSG and Man City, so not impossible that we will still see Salah in the Premier League next season.
We cannot afford to lose either of them, based on this evening’s shambolic performance. Let’s hope things improve over the next two games or our season is in trouble and we may only have FA Cup and CL to play for.
It is frustrating but I fear we are going to have to deal with what we have unless a miracle occurs and we can offload some peripheral players for half decent money.

Pegleg - "positive Petra" did you come up with that yourself!

Here's the thing. YNWA means supporting your team through good and bad, not bashing players as being not good enough. I understand where you are coming from, so please don't misunderstand my post. However, it's a choice to see things as half full or half empty.

Secondly you make it sound as if the club is choosing not to reinvest in players. (BTW the huge investment in the stadium and training facilities should not be dismissed, just ask United fans about their stadium) The money is simply not there! It's not a choice to go with the kids, it's a necessity. So once you understand that, you have a choice to be positive about the team we love or get on their backs. I choose to be positive and if that makes you sick, then maybe you should 'support' another team.

Where did the money go Potclay? The club makes a record revenue every year. It’s only missing a stadium revenue.

{Ed0666's Note - FSG don’t take money out of the club they reinvest it.

Ed066,
Correct my ignorance. If we had reinvested then money we wouldn’t be building debt in the first place nor sell the future incomes for our own purchase.
Are we seriously going to dumb all our financial problems on the lack of match day revenues 😀😀😀. We have not had money form two good years now. That’s 4 transfer windows. We are borrowing.

{Ed0666's Note - so is everyone else mate, we’ll most clubs anyway. FSG have poured money into remodeling Anfield, a new training centre, new contracts for star players and had not much coming due to the pandemic. FSG aren’t the sugar daddies we want so let’s just get used to it and grin and bear it. It could be worse we could be Derby County

Our outgoings went up while our incomings took a hit.
I'm not a business expert but even I can see that's going to cause disruption to the club's finances.

The super positive fans talking down to the fans who dare raise any concerns couldn’t be anymore condescending if they tried.

14 Jan 2022 08:25:24
Simply pointing out he is more Lfc standard than two players who simply aren't Kloppers. Not particularly knocking them just stating facts. This is an opinion i've had of both for a long time.

Ipotclay, it was meant to be positive peters god knows what happened?

20.) 14 Jan 2022
14 Jan 2022 09:04:37
So have FSG poured money into remodelling Anfield or have they lent the club money to remodel Anfield and the club are now in debt to FSG. It cannot be both?

21.) 14 Jan 2022
14 Jan 2022 09:59:17
@JK23, the fans raising concerns who think that fans with a more positive attitude don’t understand could equally be described as condescending (“we know better’ works both ways)

In my opinion the pessimists have a tendency to sound like spoilt little children …… ‘I want a big star and I want want now and that nasty man won’t get one and is just being mean to me’.

22.) 14 Jan 2022
14 Jan 2022 10:31:21
WDW as they say mate there’s two sides to every story and I leave reading both.

Regardless of what any fans opinions is though to be told perhaps they should support another side or do you know what YNWA means isn’t really a point. It’s being condescending.

Only my opinion though. Now where’s my big star.
