I hope he really keeps improving so that someday he can come back. Always rated him, but unfortunately right now he is no Mo Salah. But I think if he can keep improving, he has a high ceiling. Has always turned up with goals and assists wherever he has played.

Great for lad. He seems to be one of those players that is just too good for the Championship but not quite done it in the premier league.

I know it’s been mentioned on here in the last about the Premier league becoming a closed book with City just winning it year in year out but with Parachute payments it looks like it’s already happening with the Championship. With exception of maybe 1 or 2 every few years it seems to be the same clubs constantly coming up and then back down again.

A player who frustrates so much every time I watch him. Clearly got talent. Teams at the bottom can't afford to have passengers which is why he stopped starting towards the end of his loan spell with bournemouth.

Ed001 good point mate. Whenever I’ve seen him play for Wales he seems to have a totally different hunger about him. Similar to Ramsey and Bale late in their careers where they both seem to be different players at international level to club with regards to work rate.

Any chance of adding an article to your list please of players who took the Championship by storm and just couldn’t step up in the Premier league. There’s so many of them. Of late Pukki, Mitrovic and Gayle comes to mind but over the years there’s been loads. And then you have Taarabt def coming under the no effort umbrella with all the talent in the world.

I have seasons tickets at Fulham and I can tell you that Wilson is such a frustrating player at times. He has unbelievable technique, and can be insanely good at times but he really can be lazy the rest of the time! He very much is a match of the day highlights reel type of player. By my word can the lad strike the ball cleanly!

Wilson is and was never good enuff to play for us esp. at the level we are competing at for the past 4/ 5 years, IMO. He is too lazy, hides during games and lacks the desire and determination to improve and get better.

I will never forget the preseason game we played vs Lyon before the 19/ 20 season where Wilson played and I actually didn't know he was playing UNTIL each time he got the ball. That did it for me. Lots of ability on the ball BUT that can only get you so far. Shame for the kid cos he's got too much talent to be playing in the Championship.
