Well that pretty much sorts the league. We will get 3rd. so need to go full Strength team In every cup. No messing about with half arsed teams.

No point wasting time on the domestic cups. We don’t have the quality in depth to commit our best players to it and the bigger more important competitions. We should concentrate on winning our remaining games and the champions league, personally I can’t see city dropping any points between now and the end of the end of the season, they’ve been here before and once they’re on a run they’re impossible to beat. We made too many mistakes both on and off the pitch and we’re paying for them,

After tomorrow we are down the 3 who are at the AFCON so even if we wanted to go full strength for the domestic cups we can't. Add in C.V. and I doubt we'll be full strength for a while to come.

Vvv they won't lose many games when all the refs and var are on their side mate. THAT was a absolute farce. Their still going to drop points for me mate. We still have a chance. The major issue I have with the club is lack of investment, if we don't sort that out soon we'll be scrapping for europa league next season at best. less if salah leaves.

City has a large squad, C.V. could rip through it over the course of a few months and ruin their season. So let’s see what happens.

VVV - Just wondering what mistakes we’ve made off the pitch? Thanks ☺️.

Go on VVVV tell Droogie about Saul and Bissouma and Starr (but not Sanches and Traore) and about how we should have got rid of, in no particular order, Matip, Neco, Keita, Origi, Taki, Ox, Millie and probably a couple of others that I can’t remember. Oh yes and Klopp and FSG too.

If City don't drop any more points between now and the end of the season, it'd mean a 28 game winning streak (they're already on 11 on the bounce) . Which would not only beat, but would in fact utterly obliterate, the existing PL record by 10 games.

Maybe I'll eat my words in May on this, but I don't see it.

Forget off the field no one can think we have played well in the first half off the PL. We are on course for 82 points which is no where near. So everyone has to be accountable because we are under achieving.

Off the pitch? Not replacing Wijnaldum was an error, regardless of his last season (in which he was almost the only centre midfielder fit and available week in week out) he was a reliable 7/ 10 player who was available every game, to me that’s a huge off the pitch error, not making a decision on Ox or Keita as they’ve not really contributed in their time, not selling one of Philips or Gomez as we only need four centre defenders, not bringing in another decent forward knowing we had the AFCON to contend with. Other than that, yeah, perfect preparation for the season.

And that’s not even mentioning the contract situations for Salah and Mane, who are now both entering the last 18 months of their contract without any sign of a new contract (and we’ve been here before), with no possibility of being able to afford a like for like replacement if the worst was to happen and they either don’t renew or we have to sell for peanuts because of the duress or circumstances.

Almost the only good off the pitch decision we did make was not signing Traore or Sanches. But that’s only because circumstances prevented them happening.

Ultimately we’re very far short of being good enough to be potential champions, City will probably win at a cantor, and they’re probably capable of going unbeaten the rest of the season, even the gaffer has said we needed to be close to perfection to contend and we’ve made too many mistakes. If you genuinely think everything in the garden is rosy, then I’m happy for you, but I beg to differ. As would the facts when you scratch the surface.

WDW, haven’t you m heard? If the club doesn’t do what people want, it’s a mistake. As if had the club did what they wanted then automatically things would be better forgetting that there are NO guaranties in football. It’s mad.

The difference for me is the statement of fact ‘The club has made loads of mistakes’ versus the offering of an opinion.

It is fairly regular for people to assume that opinion is fact these days.

The trouble is you can’t really have a sensible discussion with someone who assumes all their opinions are fact.

Take the example of replacing Gini- replacing Gini with a Gini clone means the team doesn’t actually improve - at best it stays the same and, as virtually everybody else’s opinion has it if you don’t improve you are actually going backwards. Never mind that Jones, Elliot and Morton etc represent the future (perhaps an improved future? ) the fact that fans have been shifted from their comfort zone means they can’t possibly entertain a difference of opinion and, in a lot of cases, a sensible debate.

VVVV, did the club not tie down multiple first team players to new contracts, VVD, Hendo, Robertson, Ali etc? To me, that means it is glaringly obvious they are working on sorting contracts, which also implies that Salah's situation isn't the most straight forward and possibly Mané will not be getting a new one, who knows. to say nothing was done off the field isn't correct, they also sorted the additional stadium works.

Win and this is the greatest Liverpool team ever. Draw, or God forbid lose, and half the squad suddenly isn't good enough and Klopp/ FSG don't know what they're doing. It's bipolar, and it makes for some comical reading.

Perception is skewed by the squad that City have accumulated and the money they have spent in doing so. If City weren't so dominant, losing and drawing a couple of games a season would be seen as a fantastic achievement in this league.

Posters on here get frustrated because FSG can't/ won't match City financially so immediately vent at the nearest outlet, which is to slag players off that aren't worthy in their eyes.

The bit they can't accept when they want player X gone is that Klopp DOES rate that player, or he wouldn't be here.

And this guy Klopp seems to know his stuff about players, no matter how frustrated posters get claiming they know better.

WDW, we’ll said. A lot of them shift the goalposts vid they are only interested in being right, as if there is some prize to be claimed for that. A healthy debate cannot be had if one party is ONLY interested in being right.

In their minds, Club did not do what I wanted hence, club made mistakes. This is what we are being afflicted with each time we don’t win. Funny thing is that when we win, they never come out to say they were wrong or that the club made the right choices. Now that would be some bipolar type stuff right there, lol.

We win 8 in a row in all comps with 6 in a row in the league yet not a peep, no mistakes made by the club off the pitch. So the club only made mistakes off the pitch or didn’t do what I wanted hence, mistakes were made whenever we don’t win? Well, that clears things up pretty nicely, doesn’t it? 🙄🙄.
