Apparently Kane's boot was high, that was the reason he wasn't sent off, if referee's stop finding ridiculous excuses and admit they got it wrong maybe they would earn some respect.

Everybody gets things wrong just admit it .

{Ed014's Note - I couldn’t get my head around the fact they said Jota stopped to encourage the contact from Sanchez! Wtf they were watching I’ve no idea 🤦‍♂️

If he’s in possession of the ball it’s his right to stop. Doesn’t matter if it was to initiate contact or not. It’s still up to the defender to maintain enough control not to plough into him from behind at a million miles an hour. Pathetic excuse.

If the PGMOL actually focused this much energy on improving the wretched standards of PL officiating rather than on these pathetic and disgraceful explanations for their rank incompetence, we may actually get somewhere. Just a thought.

Anyone that made that comment has never played the game and should not be making decisions.

The referees know they can hide behind “their interpretation excuses” and there governing body will support it. Why there isn’t another independent panel reviewing all these poor decisions and questioning th standards of the refereeing is beyond me. And if there is what are they doing!

Kane is a dirty player who seems to be constantly on the edge of injuring opponents, but always gets away with it, I don’t know why, perhaps because he is England’s captain, which he shouldn’t be but that’s another story. He’s a cheat and comes across as a first class jobs worth. The game should have been dead and buried within 20 odd minutes with a correct red card followed shortly by a penalty. People are raving of spurs performance and I don’t know why, they had a few clear cut chances that they missed, because Harry Kane’s lost it, all of which wouldn’t have happened if the referee wasn’t incompetent. Plus they tore through our 4th choice midfield. They still won’t finish top 4 they’re too far off Manchester United and I’d fancy Arsenal over them. Yet people act like spurs done a number on mighty red boys. They’ve improved but it didn’t really take much all things considered.

They’ve now said it wasn’t acted on because Robertsons foot wasn’t planted. Utter joke, if this is their interpretation it means they can make rules up as abs when it suits them in order to mitigate their dreadful standards of refereeing. It needs a complete overhaul even with VAR assistance they’re just making things up game by game. It’s weird VAR was supposed to mean more decisions were correct, instead it seems like it’s enabled officials to pick abs choose when abs how rules are implemented.

Kane is English and would always be protected. He is the darling of the country. No surprise there.

Mark clattenberg has come out and basically said the refs decision and VARS were a complete joke. Time something was done.

Funny how he waited hntill he left the Premier league b4 saying that he never said anything like that when officiating in the league.

{Ed001's Note - he wasn't allowed to while employed by them, he would have lost his job.}

Spot on, Sailor. If Spurs were correctly punished for their illegal actions by the ref, they get absolutely battered and none of their chances and good play even happen cos they would have been hanging on for dear life with a man down and a goal down with Emerson getting a second yellow on the foul on Jota with Salah scoring the pen. See how one decision can cause a domino effect?

Spurs done a no. on us? Yeah, they wish. They can delude themselves all they want BUT the fact that with all the issues we had (playing outlet 3rd choice midfield) and with all the ref help they got, they still could have lost is stunning. There’s a reason Spurs have only beaten us once in all comps. since 2012. They can’t if their lives depended on it.

As for Kane and the excuses, I don’t get it. On one hand, they say they don’t let him get away with these things cos he’s England capt YET on the other hand, look at all the absurd excuses they are making to try to exonerate him for the bone head challenge he made. They need to decide which set of lies they want to go with cos their all over the place here.

The wording goes so. ething like if it endangers the safety of an opponent then it's serious foul play and a red card must/ should be shown I'm a amateur referee and have been for years if I was being supervised and the kane incident happened in the game and I hadn't sent him off I would be marked down for it so why not Mt Tierney is it because he has a white shield on him from FIFA?

Kane is being protected the same as Alan Shearer was when he kicked another player in the head right before a major international tournament many moons ago. Another "Golden Boy gets a pass because of his status" situation.
Any other player would have have seen an immediate red, been banned and fined with no appeal.
