Good summery Ed. Do you think he's a bit like Christian Vieri? He was really strong and had a little turn of pace which would get him past a defender but surprisingly being a focal point of the Italian team at the time he brought a ball down like it was a tile falling off a roof. He always seemed to score though.

{Ed001's Note - hmmm Vieri was more of a target man, Haaland has the strength to do it, but he wants the ball in behind constantly. I can see what you are getting at though and there are similarities.}

Be interesting to see what his ceiling will be ed001. His next move needs to be the right one that’s for sure. Never really thought of comparing him to Torres before. It will be a shame if Haaland loses that quick burst of pace like Torres did, I remember Torres going from the worlds most dangerous striker to a donkey overnight when he got that injury.
Question for ya though ed001, hypothetical of course because I know it won’t happen, but if he moved to Liverpool in the summer do you think someone like Klopp would/ could coach out his flaws and turn him into something truly special?

{Ed001's Note - he only needs to add a proper press to be something truly special. He would absolutely terrify defenders into panic stations due to his acceleration. It would stop any team he faced from even attempting to play out from the back as there just wouldn't be time. So yes, working with Klopp would improve him massively.}

Good review Ed. Can I ask, how do you research for your reviews? Every time I red one, I always read bits that I hadn't considered. Do you watch multiple matches or predominantly use research/ stats that are already available?

{Ed001's Note - lots of footage, I don't look at stats as they are meaningless without context, which you can only get by watching the games anyway.}

Are there many examples of sons out performing their fathers? Maldini but I can't think of any others off the top of my head. No doubt there are lots though.

{Ed001's Note - Mo Salah, erm Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, Michael Owen, should I go on? I mean I don't remember any of the current Liverpool squad's fathers making it in the game....}

I thought Vieri was a special CF. He just had this uncannot ability to find the net. I remember him spending only one season at Athletico Madrid and scored over 30 goals from near everywhere in and around the box. Top player, IMO.

I remember thinking the same Ed when I saw him, it was like a bit of a bemusement how often he scored, but it just seemed to be him when it could of been anyone. Being in the right place is of course a knack.
Do you think it may partly be down to lack of competition in bundesliga ie defensively. could he struggle elsewhere?
