Do you not feel Allison is a far better shot stopper but his distribution is a mile of Edderson. Under pressure edderson is still a good deal better with his feet. What about Neuer?

{Ed001's Note - no, Ederson gets verbally masturbated over by idiot pundits who completely ignore the much more difficult pass Alisson has completed. Ederson hits it into 50 yards of space and we hear about a wonderful pass, Alisson pinpoints it onto Mane's chest and nothing is said. Ederson is ridiculously poor under pressure, anyone who has watched him knows that is when he makes all his errors, he can't cope. He is rash and not very bright. Sorry but you are simply wrong, and asking about Neuer is just ridiculous. He has been finished at the top level for years, his wrists are gone and he just gets away with it because Bayern have absolutely no competition in Germany. When he is asked to perform, he fails.}

Ed01, I completely agree with you regarding Ederson. The guy as as overrated as you will ever find in the PL today. The guy doesn't even hold a candle next to Emi Martinez and Big Al is even better than him YET the pundits will have you believe he is a great GK cos he can pass the ball. Can he catch with his feet too? Sorry, I like a GK who actually catches with his hands than one who can pass the ball. Ali is very good with his feet to. He just doesn't fawned over and gusshed about in the media like Ederson does.

Yes, Ederson can pass the ball and is great with his feet BUT he is nowhere near Ali's all round ability as a GK. IMO, Ali is the most fundamentally sound GK I have ever seen in easily two decades. His all round game is second to none. Apart from Ederson and his feet, what is he actually good at?

He is poor on crosses, rash in the challenge, goes walk about and concedes near anytime he faces a shot on target (conceded 2 out of 3 shots on target last night) . Oh n btw, had Fab tapped that last chance in last night, who would have gotten the lame? Ederson who lost his rag and just flew out of his box and got nowhere near the ball, just like he has been doing since he arrived. Just an example of how poor he is. Overrated does not even begin to describe this dude.

I've never seen a keeper save as many 1 on 1's as Alisson.

Ederson is better with the ball at his feet - that’s not even a debate, and anyone who says otherwise is either biased or clueless. Alisson is by far the better all-round keeper though.

{Ed001's Note - if you say so, but Alisson has more assists, so only a fool would dismiss it as a debate, when there clearly is a debate to be had. You clearly have your head so far up your own backside you can't understand what is bias and clueless and what is informed opinion based on actually knowing the game. Your opinion as such is worthless and ridiculously arrogant and dismissive. So give it a rest until you have a clue yourself.}

I know you probably won’t post this as you usually don’t when someone proves you wrong, but Alisson Becker has one goal assist, against Manchester United in the title-winning season. Official Premer League stats show that Ederson has two goal assists, so I am not as much up my own arse as you indicate. Ederson consistently starts moves with incredible long balls when teams press City high. He should have even had an assist yesterday if Foden had scored. I think it was the tackle that led to the penalty debate. Very rarely do City defenders worry when Ederson is on the ball, even when attackers are close. Alisson sometimes looks very shaky on the ball when closed down. He gave away two goals against City last season through panicking on the ball. As I said, Alisson is by far the better keeper, but Ederson’s distribution with his feet is superior.

Also, your comments in a post about Foden were also way wide of the mark. Although his goal wasn’t better, he had as much influence on the game yesterday as Salah. He had Milner on toast all game and is an incredible player. I fear it won’t be the last time Liverpool suffer through his ability. Twice on the run at Anfield, we haven’t been able to handle him, and Klopp doesn’t seem to have any idea how to counter him.

{Ed001's Note - actually no he doesn't have only one assist, if you bothered to check you would find he arrived at the team with more assists than that. But you carry on being wrong and trying to pretend to have knowledge. As for when someone proves me wrong, if I don't post it, how the hell would you know they have done? You are just making up lies now to suit your ridiculous agenda. Just don't bother me again I have no time for the likes of you lying on here.

My comments on Foden? Tiresome how clueless some people are. I am done with this site and all you whiney little bitches who just want to masturbate over anyone else's players. You sad little muppets like you who know f all about the game other than a few crap stats off the Premier League site because you lack actual knowledge of the game, or that there is a world of football outside of the Prem. I fear we have to put up with you every time we don't win, with your complete lack of insight into the game. But its ok you can just make it up, you are good at that.

Bye bye to all. Pricks like this with their lies are why I don't comment and won't be doing again on here. No point doing match reviews as the cretins on here all know better than me, so I am out.}

FlashTheRed, you commented ‘quality reposte’. Would you like to comment on my reply to that ‘quality reposte? ’

You might have a different view, and maybe you could ask your leader Tristram to post the comment that he probably doesn’t want you to read, so hasn’t yet posted.

Allison kicks medium range passes out of touch nearly all the time. Our best keeper for a long time no doubt but is his distribution better than reinas? I'm not sure.

Outside of Sundays game I have watched City twice. Against arsenal and Chelsea. The only thing that potentially offered arsenal a way back into the game was Ederson. It was clearly something arteta targeted having worked with Ederson previously and he gave the ball away so many times, almost scoring an OG at one point. Under pressure he isn't great, Ed is right on that imo

When he has the ball in his hands and time he is excellent and forces the opposition defence to drop off a lot because he can kick it really long distances and find the space In behind with decent accuracy. The thing about opposition players is you never scrutinise them as much because it doesn't matter as much to you. You don't care enough so the errors don't stick in your mind like they do with Liverpool players. Emerson finds the stands regularly, as he did on Sunday, same as ally. Its the risks of what they are asked to do. Allison by a mile is the better keeper.
