I’m struggling a bit with this narrative that we got lucky, or that 3-0 was a kind score line?

We scored more goals than Palace had shots on target, and we had 60% possession.

I thought but for the countless blocks from Palace players (and Jota missing a sitter), we were pretty comfortable for most of the game personally.

Of course Palace had moments in the game, but you’re always going to get that in a perm game.

Thought we were good for our 3-0 win. Mane and Salah were both on good form. Konate played well on his debut. Even Keita scored a thunderb*st*rd. Only worrying thing was Thiago’s injury.

Souness had a wee tight perm, McDermott more au natural Barry. As Flashthered says, wonderful Moustache both of them. Players had more flair back then, didn't they? 🤣.

Pretty sure Thommo had one for a season too. Later on Barry Venison had a perm-mullet combo.

Tache touché: Rush, Alan Kennedy, David Johnson all went in for those!

At 0-0 we were the best team although Palace had a few moments.
At 1-0 Palace were the better team and had control of the game. It was a massive relief to get the 2nd goal.
