What do all of you think of Frank Kessie's performance on Wednesday night. First time I've seen him play and I thought he did just about okay. Firm and hard on the tackle, but not much of all the other things he was touted for, as a candidate for the Liverpool midfield over the summer. Looks like a Fabinho replacement to me, and Fabs does not need replacing.

I thought kessie looked pretty lost on the ball, and could not cope with this press. Not always his fault maybe.

I thought he did ok defensively, but didn't look great on the ball or going forward.

I don't think you can base someone's play on a single game it would have to be a few games, besides which I think we twisted them and turned them inside out. But if his stats of last year in Serie A are 13 goals 4 assists, that's better than Winnie.

In fairness those stats are better than Salah’s. I can’t remember him getting a single goal or assist in Serie A last season.

I saw him more as the future replacement for Henderson, actually, rather than Keita. More of a No.8 rather than a No 6 or No.10. Defensive skills seemed okay but didn't show much of what he can do offensively. He's highly thought of, and correctly, it's futile to judge based on one game only. Let's see what he shows us back at the San Siro.

Thought he looked poor on the ball and a bit all over the place defensively. Think I’d rather push the boat out on Bissouma as he’s tried and tested in the premier league. Though he scored 13 goals last season, but about 10 or 11 of them were penalties. So it’s a bit of a false statistic.

His performance very much reminded me of Moussa Sissoko and not the occasions where he is good.
