Strange that. I thought Ronaldo was supposed to make them into some sort of unstoppable force and the rest of the PL should just give up?

{Ed025's Note - not much CR7 can do about it when they have a manager like OGS mate, picking players like fred week in week out..

C'mon United can't loose in CL again after all they've improve so much that even we are not in their league.

I'm Sure their must be some misunderstanding 😝🤣.

Ed25 mate this time Ole will be gone : ( bringing Ronaldo back was he's End as a United manager.

There's no place for him to hide or even handle a player of that Calibre when things don't work.

{Ed025's Note - i think he will be safe for now KF but he needs to get results or that will change very quickly mate..

Exactly mate, think he be will gone end of the season. Can't see them sacking him now or midway after the way they've backed him.

Going to lose respect for you Ed025 if you keep referring to him as CR7.

The thing about having the best player in the world on your team is there will always be times that, no matter how poorly designed the tactics are, he's going to be unplayable. Just get him the ball in a good position and he's going to score regularly. But the stark reality is that City, Liverpool, United and Chelsea all have a squad full of those kind of players. That's where having a better coach really comes into play -- hence why we're the most likely team to win the league!

From what I’ve seen so far,

Chelsea are a serious contender, we are looking like we are getting back into our PL winning mentality and Man Utd are still flattering to deceive.

United’s seeming reliance on Ronaldo to put everything right is a pretty big gamble, especially with the back four that they have who are, to a man, nowhere near the standard required for the club they think they are.

Back five with a cm, two cams and a striker was awful tactics. I’d back city to beat young boys 2/ 3-0 with ten men.

I agree West Derby
- Chelsea look very good, with a solid defence, some young creative midfielders and now a top goal scorer…they can still be got at though
- Man City always a threat but I hope the lack of a top CF comes back to bite them
- Man Utd look great on paper but not on the pitch. Fred at CDM and that defence is not good enough to challenge IMO
- Liverpool look close to their most dangerous best. If we had been a bit more clinical we could be 4 from 4 and quite a few more goals with only one conceded. Most importantly we look almost imperious like back in ‘19. Alisson, VVD, Matip, Fabinho is an incredible base for Salah and Mane etc. to make merry upfront.

{Ed0666's Note - Chelsea we’re lucky to beat villa on Saturday if you ask me mate

{Ed0666's Note - didn’t watch the game mate. Do you mean Chelsea should of scored more or tgat the opponent should have scored?

Opponent should have scored mate, got behold the Chelsea defence a couple of times - missed a tap in with about 10 mins to go.

{Ed0666's Note - thanks for that drogie.

Let’s not celebrate United losing. We need them to get out the group and win the FA cup or something this year so Ole gets another new contract 😂.

Spot on, Ed666. Chelsea were absolutely dreadful vs Villa esp. in the first half and should have been 3-1 up in that half. They struggled mightily in midfield w/ o Kante as Saul and Kovacici were getting schooled by MacGinn and Douglas Luis. They couldn't get anywhere near them in the first half. Watkins and Ings were ripping them at will and how they didn't score is still a mystery.

What broke the game open for Chelsea, was the dreadful bonehead mistake by Mings (dreadful CB, IMO) and that was it. And if Chelsea struggled yesterday and should have lost or drawn in the CL game as the poster suggests then, Im still not convinced about them.

As for City and Utd, they have their issues and I don't see them being able to win the PL with Torres (a converted winger) up top and Jesus (a converted CF) wide right. As for Utd? they got Ole. I can sleep easy.

Are you chaps saying Aston Villa aren’t any good? I think they are far from pushovers - they bought well in the window and Smith is building a fair team.

I hate teams that never quite play as well as they could but manage a 1 - 0 win and then another one and then another one. Reminds me of Red Nose’s teams.

{Ed0666's Note - I think we’re saying they should have beaten Chelsea
