With Elliot likely out for a number of months, this may bring forward Kaide Gordons introduction to the first team squad. I would love to see him start against Norwich in the Cup. Super talent.

If he misses the whole premier league season so be it as long as he's able to come back fit long term. I was absolutely sick to my stomach when I saw that tackle -- I knew it was a bad injury in an instant -- and I spent most of my day Sunday upset about it. Harvey is a very rare talent and I pray he recovers quicker than all of this seems to suggest but MORE IMPORTANTLY I pray that he recovers.

I think Gordon may follow the Elliot and Clarkson path - a few games and a few more match day experiences with the first team this season so he can see what’s expected for the 21 / 22 season

Assuming nothing untoward happens then a season’s loan (we seem to be establishing a bit of rapport with Blackburn / Mowbray ‘s way of developing young players) for 22 / 23

Again assuming nothing untoward and the lad’s development going as planned then a full squad member in the 23 / 24 season when he is 18 / 19.

Ligament damage too by the sounds of it - I’m absolutely gutted for the lad. Let’s just hope he comes back the same player, at least he has youth on his side.
