We all want signing to freshen up the team but some players that were not available / not effective in previous seasons could be like new signing:
- Keita
- Ox
- Minamino
-Tsmikas

We desparetly needed a CB and we filled that position with potentially world class center back.

We have a lot of options in midfield so not sure if we need a midfielder right now.

What we do need is a quality striker as Firmino has faded away a bit in the last 1 and a half season. He looked sharp yesterday though.

Would love to hear everyone elses opinion on what position needs to be filled.

PakRed, play any of our midfield “options” without Fabinho and Henderson then you’ll see that we don’t actually have loads of midfield options, as teams will just run through us at will. Like last season when Fabinho and Henderson didn’t play in midfield, so a quality midfielder is needed far more than another striker. Goals may win matches, but good defending wins titles.

Keita is too injury prone and never turns up when it’s time to play real football and Ox is too injury prone to be relied upon, Milner looks his 36 years and Curtis is still learning. On paper it looks a lot, but paper teams win paper trophies.

teams ran through us last season due to having 3 injured CBS you lose the quality of VVD, JG, JM and then Klopp putting Fabs and Hendo at CB instead of just persevering with Nat, Rhys was the Issue. unless Sanchez comes in I think the midfield options will be

Fabs, Thiago, Hendo, Milly, Keita, Ox, Jones. and Elliot in and around the team.

our front 3 are going to tear people apart again.

Funny how we won 4 trophies in around 15 months with that paper team.
What's to guarantee that any signings we make don't also spend major time being injured? Klopp has said that a full pre-season should make a lot of difference to some of the players who get injured easily.
I reckon Klopp has proved that he knows what he's talking about.

I hate to say it but if we don't have money then we should just sell Keita and buy a dependable CM with good fitness record.

I've always wanted Keita to do well but it doesn't seem like it has worked out for him yet.

I would like a defensive midfielder to cover Fabinho as you could see we looked a lot tighter last night with him there. I think that would be better that as straight swap for Gini as we have plenty of players that can play there. If we where going to sign somebody for the attack then they would like a striker I think Jota is better from the left so with Jota mane salah Ox Minamino and Elliott with have plenty of players that seem better wide than through the middle.

Flash, two things. That was literally the past, like Shanks or Paisley would say, forget about that season, it’s gone and things move on. Secondly, one of the critical factors in our success was having a dependable and reliable water carrier like Wijnaldum, we don’t actually have that now. Keita has proven time and again that he’s not up to the rigours of the premier league, no amount or pre season is going to help if you’re a complete flake. If Henderson and Fabinho aren’t available for any significant stretch of the season (and history shows that they both have had time out for injury issues in the last three years), then we’re done for.

We're done for if Hendo and Fab are out? Sorry mate, I don't subscribe to the drama. And you're right about it being in the past, but that doesn't mean get rid of players who still have something to offer just because fans don't rate or like them.
There's a difference between evolution and chopping and changing because fans aren't happy.
History also shows us that Klopp knows what he's doing, despite armchair experts supposedly knowing betetr.

Oh, and we won 14 major trophies (including 2 CL’s, A UEFA Cup, 3 UEFA Super Cups, 3 FA Cups, 3 EFL Cups etc. ) BEFORE we actually won the league while breaking all types of records. How many swallows and summers does all that add up to, Ed25?
