Ed’s 002 thanks for the detailed midfielder update.
Happy with Saul or Ziellinski to be honest, and if we can grab Malen for the forward squad position then it’s a good window.
Wilson likely to go now with Brentford looking to place a bid, Shaqiri will surely receive offers after a decent euros and we are good to go.
I cannot wait to get back into Anfield and any away grounds next season to watch the reds!

While I would love Saul, not seen much of zielinski, I would be amazed if either happened based on what has been said in terms of cost and wage especially for Saul.

I still think most likely are bissouma Sanchez nerhaus in that order, not on inside info just kind of based on what's been said and how I think LFC are looking to operate.

Definitely agree I think mallen would be a great option for the forward line but have no idea how viable that is, there seems to be a lack of anything concrete on forward players and I think it won't be a priority unless we are able to secure deals out for all of the players that we are looking to move on, Shaq wilson grujic etc.

Can't agree more with looking forward to the season!

Bissouma and Nehaus aren't going to be much cheaper as neither Brighton nor Monchengladbach need or want to sell. Zielinski and Saul are both available below normal market value due to Napoli and Atletico cutting costs, but will be on higher salaries admittedly.

Sanches will be the cheapest option because Lille need to sell and he's got a shocking injury record. His wages aren't huge either.

I really do think that Anguissa would be the most sensible option in our current circumstances. He's 5 years younger than Hendo or Thiago, and has got the potential to be an absolute monster in a better team. I reckon he'd be available for circa £20m as well and isn't on very big wages.

No confirmed interest in Anguissa though so i do reckon we'll end up with Sanches which i personally believe is a mistake. We need a reliable midfielder as every single one left in our squad missed at least 1 month with injury last season. Here's hoping we can sell enough fringe players to fund Saul or Zielinski.

As long as they stay fit, any player klopp coaches has potential of becoming a beast of a baller.9 times out of 10.

MKS, I can agree with most of your post, man. It's a tough one. Anguissa would be a better option than Sanches ability and price wise (as you say, no reported interest from us for Anguissa), IMO even tho I think he can come in and improve himself with us as the talent is clearly there. His recurrent muscle injuries are a huge problem still esp. with the season we have just had.
Bissouma is ready to come provided we can get the payment agreement structure right or pay the fee outright. We're going to have to see.

I think salaries are the main factor though MK rightly or wrongly. I don't know what zielinski would be commanding but again Sauls 300k is simply going to be unfeasible and I don't know but I doubt he would be willing to take much if any of a pay cut.

Again I'm just gauging based on the information here and what I've seen Liverpool do the last few years I think our primary target is bissouma if we can get good money in for some players I think we will push hard for him and if not I think we will look to negotiate a cut price deal for Sanchez.

Interesting shout on anguissa though I will give him a bit of a scout, Haven't seen anything of him.

He's a good player PickleRick. Played under Bielsa at Marseille and did well in Spain. He has stood out in Fulham's team like a sore thumb. He's press resistant. If you press him he'll just go past you. Very good at shielding the defence as well. He wouldn't be my first choice under normal circumstances, but i don't want the club to continue to be badly managed by signing players for huge prices on a spread out payment terms. It's literally a thinly veiled form of debt and we've been doing it too long now. If we can sell enough fringe players to buy a big player outright then fair enough but we can't keep gambling on future income. Who is to say there won't be a third major outbreak next winter?

Sanches is a good player at an affordable price but we can't risk another sick note with our midfield options aging.

Talking way too much sense, MKS. Fully agree.

Ya Anguissa would be a better choice than Sanches I think too Adam.
