Harvey Elliot has signed a new long term deal with us.

So pleased to hear that, and looking forward to Harvey tearing up the EPL this season like he did in the Championship last season!

I hope that after a few sub games in the first half of the season, and starts in the cup competitions, he can get the odd EPL start in the second half of the season. That would be ideal from my POV.

I guess his game time will depend on what happens with Shaq and Tak, but i'm really excited to see him get some game time, he looks the real deal.

Do you expect him to get a fair share of league games Ed?

{Ed001's Note - I hope so, imo he is ready to step up. I don't mean he will light it up immediately, I mean he is ready to learn from playing at the higher level. There is nothing to be gained by him playing at a lower level, he won't learn there, he needs to be playing in the Prem.}

Pretty probable that he signed a new deal after being after being made aware of game time being available for him this season. He has been here for 2 years now and needs to be laying for the first team right now. That is the only way we will know if he is good enuff. His apprenticeship is over, IMO. Time to get those legs dirty, Harvey.

Oli, I agree he needs to get some first team chances this season, but don't forget the kid has only just turned 18 (in April) .

I hope that we manage his time well as I'd hate for him to be yet another burn out case of too much too soon.

Yes this is fantastic news. He looks so much more grown up in just a year. Can’t wait to see him back in a lfc shirt.

I’m very keen to see him gradually integrated into the team eg. in games where we’re up a couple goals, or in cup games etc… a bit like Foden was for City. He looks a massive talent.
