So am just going to throw this out there and I’d like eds1 or eds666 option on this.
What about not buying a midfielder and using bobby back in midfield and buying a top class striker instead. I know klopp has played him there for some small cameos but could he play there for 90mins ect?

{Ed001's Note - why not buy a midfielder and sometimes use him in midfield while Jota or Elliott plays up top?}

Salah can play central if needed. The midfield is our weakest area IMO. You just can't rely on them to stay fit for the season. As a poster says on another thread pick 3 from Thiago, Jones, Ox, Milner, Keita and we could very well get beat as we did many times last season. Past Hendo and Fabs its not strong enough.

In order to buy a midfielder you need to sell one tho realistically and I don’t think you’ll find many buyers for either Ox or Keita. And given Liverpool already have HG issues you’d probs want to hang onto Ox out of either of them.

midfield is most deffinetly a priority in my opinion aswell.
Ox will prolly be used most as a cover on the wings and milner will also be used as cover on backs, keita is only injury free every blue moon and the few times he actually is ready he don't seem interested to do the work needed.
so in my opinion we have Jones, Hendo, Thiago, Fabinho fighting for 3 spots, the rest ain't good enough. We need atleast 5 good ones fighting for 3 spots, maybe even 6 considering Hendo and Thiago also have their shares of injuries threw out a season.

Bobby is on thin ice after the season we just had. I’d be looking to replace him.

I agree OX has to stay as he fits the required criteria on HG etc. It’s a long season and Klopp likes to rotate the midfield. We definitely need one more it’s the main priority for me.

What about Matheus Pereira from WBA as our let's but obe from a relegated team this year?

Bobby has been on thin ice for a good while now. I am hoping the increased competition with a fit Jota and Elliot will bring the best out of him.

Has there been any genuine interest in keita eds2?

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware, but if the price were low enough perhaps someone would make an effort. Liverpool need to cut their losses but it will be difficult to find a buyer at a reasonable price and not all countries would be willing to grant him a Work Permit. A loan to buy might be possible. Looks to stay otherwise.}

Mane has had a far bigger drop of in form than Firmino in my opinion. Scoring 11 Pl goals last season compared to 9 for Firmino.

Firmino goal scoring in the PL was the exact same as when we won the League. In fact bar one season when he scored 15 in a season his record is pretty consistent. Off course Bobby brings a bit more than goals and maybe he didn't produce as much of that last season as normal.

I'm happy tho to write last season off as an anomaly, played under weird and testing circumstances. let's hope all our players pull the finger out this season, even the ones we think should be moved on. One thing I do know is that its near impossible to have success if everyone doesn't sing from the same song sheet.

Whoever turns up in the squad at the start of the season will always have my full backing be it Origi, Shaq or Firmino. As a fan or supporter of any club that has to be a given in my opinion.

Bobby’s level has been consistent for three years but it certainly wasn’t consistently good. The poor form just got showed up because other players levels dropped. Mane does a lot more than score goals as well and I believe he will be back to his normal level next year.

Bobbie is on thin ice. According to who? Allow it, man. Bobbie was never and had never been a consistent goalscorer. We all knew this years ago when Klopp moved him to the CF position. If it was all about scoring goals, Klopp would have sold him already and moved on.

Personally, I think this whole Bobbie crap has been overblown. Sure he should score more goals and he does miss those he should score BUT the whole “He’s on thin ice “schstick” is just a storm in a tea cup.

The fact remains that when Bobbie plays well, Liverpool play well. What needs to happen is that we need someone to lighten his work load to keep him fresh cos he has been overplayed over the years and his legs are starting to go a bit. Hopefully Jota can be that guy.
