I'm sure I'm not the only one who goes through cycles of getting excited by the next hot prospect from our academy. And by our academy I mean generally players who have either been with us since day dot, or have joined in their mid-teens into the academy structure.

I was overjoyed by Raheem's impact a few seasons ago, and more recently by Trent. Joe also, albeit he came in a bit later at 18/ 19 from Charlton IIRC.

Also disappointed by Neil Mellor, who promised so much, and Jon Flanagan too.

However, just looking at our U18 and U23 teams now am I wrong in thinking that Balagazi (AM), Gordon (RW) and Musialowksi (LW) could indeed form the basis of our attack in a few season time? Maybe with Harvey Elliot converted to the Firminho position. Add in Jones in the Hendo role and (potentially) Trent at the base and we could have our forward 6 positions set here.

Are Balagazi, Gordon and Musialowski THAT good for their age group, or are the rose tinted specs in full operation here again?!

Would especially appreciate the views of anyone who has seen them live, as well as the Eds.

{Ed001's Note - even if they are, it is highly unlikely they will all make it through. They certainly are a very good trio, but it is only when/if they get a chance you can actually be sure. It is then that they either push harder to earn a spot or think they have made it and fade away.}

We have some real talent no doubt. The FA youth cup final showed me that I think we may have a habit of getting a little over excited by our youth talents. Thought Villa youngsters were outstanding and a number of them looked much more likely to be ready to make it earlier. That said people develop at different pace so hopefully one or two may well improve enough to make the grade👍.

There are so many hurdles for a young player to make it into the side and then to actually stay there. let's hope they stay grounded, work hard and are not badly advised aka Bobby Duncan.

The Irish right back coming through is the reason we're letting neco go. Just made his northern Ireland debut I think?

Connor Bradley Peteprice, he's only 17 I can't see Klopp letting Neco go anywhere on a perm deal and neither should he. He is young talented and still learning his game. Patience is needed.

Conor Bradley is the boy Pete price. Great work by my good friend and club scout based at Stormont. He is trying his hardest to get a young NI prospect into a Liverpool first 11. He also had a key role in signing Materson and Kelleher getting their dream move.

Am I the only one who doesn’t see anything special in Williams? If the prices being talked about are true I’d sell him in a heart beat, he’ll make a decent career somewhere but not at Liverpool I don’t think.

{Ed025's Note - its about giving the guy the chance to improve for me jerry, i dont think he has been given that and i think its a bit premature myself, but rumour has it that klopp knows more than me..
