Ed025
Origi would score more than any of your forwards other than CL in any team
Allison was only 5 goals behind Richardson last season.

{Ed025's Note - come on hughesy, you have to take the red tinted glasses off mate, origi has been awful since day one and has effected maybe a handful of games since he came, championship player at best i would say..

OP origi has scored a couple of important goals for us but he is not at the right level for Liverpool. How many time has he come on and done nothing! The bloke has everything to be a great footballer but he just doesn’t want it enough. I agree with eds25 he’s a champions player.

Agreed Ed025. Origi scored some important and weird goals but he has never been any good, i recall Wolfsburg couldn't wait to end his loan he was so poor. For his limited abilities he has done VERY well for himself.

{Ed025's Note - yeah SG and who can blame him?, made a nice living out of being very average so well done to him mate..

In a full 38 game Premier league season, origi scores 15+ league goals for most teams, I have no doubts.

Only way Origi is scoring 15 goals a season is if he moves to United and becomes the new penalty taker.

{Ed025's Note - love it mikey..

Origi is not a regular 15+ goals a season at most other PL clubs. Not a chance.
He will leave some good memories- his goal in the CL final, playing and scoring in the 4-0 against Barcelona and his Pickford assist but he isn't even an effective sub and he just doesn't look motivated enough to be effective.
A move is best for us and Div.

Playing week in week out, his goal return would certainly be better than it has been.

I think that that is likely, Keith. It's also likely that Klopp doesn't fancy him to score or create goals for us.
And neither do I.

3 of our 4 forwards never scored 15+ league goals this season. Origi should be starting ahead of them on that basis. Instead Klopp who sees him every day and is a better judge gave him 182 minutes of league football. Origi has had some wonderful moments for us Barca, CL final, Everton and a few more but over a 7 year career with us unfortunately those moments unfortunately paper over the cracks. For me it’s time for him to leave and actually play some football. I’ll always hope he does well if he does leave. He seems like a good guy but for us to mice forward continually as a club we can’t have any stragglers.

The reason origi didn't play is because he's not the type of player that suits the way we play, so comparing goal totals (hypothetical or not) doesn't hold much weight. What I meant is, playing as a main striker in a team that suited him, he'd get 15+ over a season. I stand by it, he's a good player, he's just not good enough or suited to starting games for Liverpool.

Rugby each to their own mate. It’s all about opinions. Good little debate in this thread. If he is available then I would imagine clubs will be biting our hands off to take him if they believe he can get them 15 league goals a season. And then if he does move we will get to see what he does.

If he is a 15 plus goal a season striker in the prem then we will have no problem selling him for top money. So let’s wait and see how quick the phone rings.

Fair play JK, and I'm willing to admit I perhaps over-rate him for his previous heroics, I just think it's hard to judge him when he's been a bit part in the team for so long. I think we'd both agree he's not a patch on any of the front 3, so game time isn't necessarily a fair reflection on the level of player he is. I expect he'll go abroad anyway, so won't know how he'll do in a full PL season.

Maybe Origi's figures are not so good because most other clubs also see him as a bit part player.

Regularly scoring 15+ goals a season strikers could easily command £50 million so I think we should cash in.

If allowed to roam around in front of goal (instead of out on the left wing), I'm with you Rugby Parker. 10-15 goals per season easy. He kicks them in with his left, with his right and with his head. We've all seen it happen. Ed025 just needs a new object for his love affections, since Fabinho turned out aces, LOL. 😜.

Easy to comment on Div's being below the level of quality at the club but quality wouldn't sit patiently on the bench for as long as he has IMO. Fairly, his biggest footballing achievement was probably described in a few banners. I think it's time to bring in the young hunger to replace him, that don't break the bank but want to make a difference in their 15 minutes of game time.
