Morning all.

Good to see we have finally addressed the mistake of not replacing Lovern a whole year later. Welcome Konate may your career at Liverpool be long and successful.

We all know that Klopp likes to get his business done as early as possible and we also know that we are cash strapped and are probably totally reliant on player sales to generate funds for strengthening the squad but I still think we need 3 or 4 players including Konate.

We need full back cover Tismekias excuse spelling hasn't worked out and I just don't think Neco Williams is good enough plain and simple. Ideally if you could get someone who can cover both sides that would be amazing if at all possible and would give Robbo and Trent the rest they need and deserve.

With Gini's departure there is a need for replacement with 1 if not 2 midfielders as Keita (waste of space) and Ox (sorry but just too injury prone and still not good enough) are not capable imo of doing so. Whoever we get needs to be a box to box type as our front 3 have had little or no support at times and this has made them appear poor or stale, very hard to score when you have 3 or more defenders to get past without any support.

And finally for me we need another centre forward someone different to Bobby maybe an old fashioned type someone to give Bobby a rest but more so to give us a plan B which is obvious to everyone we don't have at this time.

Anyway it's the silly season where we will be linked with anyone and everyone but I would like to think that if we don't over price the players we need to sell and we can get sufficient funds in then hopefully we can sign some needed quality for the 1st team or squad.

LB/ RB :- one each or one to cover both positions.

C/ M :- Definitely one if not two box to box types to give support to the backline but more so to link up play with our front 3 and give the support that was lacking for periods of times season gone out.

C/ F :- Old school type centre forward someone different to Bobby to give him a rest but to also give us a plan B when needed.

It's only my opinion of what I think we need going forward, I'm sure we probably won't buy what I've stated above especially if we don't have the funds but I'd be interested to see what's everyone else's opinion on what they think we need to do if we possibly can for the coming season.

I'm wondering if we wanted Konate last season but couldn't afford him, he wasn't available (or was he injured) and the decision was made to wait for him rather buying an expensive stopgap?

We don't need a backup fullback for either side. What level of quality to you expect to be willing to come as backup to Trent or Robbo unless they are paid silly money?

Tsimikas has had some injury issues but hopefully will be more settled and will be used a bit more next season. We have enough players who can play right back too if Trent needed a rest. Neco will hopefully keep improving, Gomez can cover there, Milner can cover there, Fabinho can cover there.

No point in signing players who aren't good enough. You won't get better than the likes of Tsimikas for fullback backup positions. Midfield and up front is different as players can rotate there and get minutes there. Look at Jota, he must have thought he's not in Klopp's best 11 when he joined us but he got loads of opportunities when fit. Different story for backup fullbacks.

Lb/ rb doesn't make sense to me. Kostas couldn't play mainly this season due to injury to rest of the backline.
Forward: I tnk ed02 told we will look to replace him next season. rest I tnk will need to be addressed 🤔.

We do have options for rb, Konate can play there. But lb we need someone extra I think. Lists was on the bench 30 times but Klopp doesn’t rate him. Maybe a pre season will change that.

Hi lads

As I said only my opinion and great to hear other people's views but I thought Tsimikas wasn't happy and looking to get out Sean Ireland maybe I'm miss informed and the level I'm expecting obviously can't be at robbo and trents level but I just feel Neco isn't quite there yet and we've seen nothing of Tsimikas to make opinions about how good or bad he is maybe we might get to see more of him in preseason but I do believe we need a centre midfielder if not 2 and another striker but like I said that's just my opinion.

Tsimikas is a full Greek international and still plays about half their games. Sounded like a very good purchase last summer so I'd imagine he is at a good level for a backup player.

I heard he wanted to go too but we don't want to sell. I hope we don't want to sell maybe because Klopp has seen enough to believe he can use him next season and he should be a lot more settled by then.

Neco has looked incredibly raw alright but we have so many others than could also cover right back.

If Trent or Robbo don't get injured then really you're looking at someone to play league cup matches, some FA Cup matches, the odd champions league match and maybe 6 league matches at most. I don't see us being able to attract players of a higher standard than the likes of Tsimikas for that amount of playing time.
