Views on Ruben Neves lads?

Just asking cos I'm reading some online comments by Man U fans cacking themselves at the possibility that we might sign Neves instead of them.

Idk, maybe I'm alone in this, but I don't see Neves as a player we particularly need. He's not bad or anything, but he doesn't do anything that Thiago doesn't do a lot better than him. Can we really go spending £30m on someone to play when Thiago can't?

Someone like Bissouma (who we're allegedly not actively interested in anyway) who provides more energy and gets around the pitch would surely be better if we're going to buy a midfielder, since we already have a solid DM in Fabinho and a playmaker in Thiago? Not to mention Hendo.

Am I missing something? Is Neves in fact really dynamic and hardworking and I've just not noticed?

Neves is still a brilliant player on his day the problem is his days are just 10-12 games per season.
Also at the price being quoted we can't even afford him.

Agree that he is technically gifted but may lack the nobility to really warrant spending a lot of money on him.

I like Neves, good technique, can play number 6 or 8, decent engine on him, good passer, can perform on a cold evening in Stoke/ Burnley, has a strike on him and Wolves are prepared to do a deal. Bissouma would be first choice, but Neves isn’t a bad option.
