Can anyone think there are any positives to take out of this season. Maybe Jota's early goal scoring that is all I can think off.

Alison didn't persist with the Magnum P. I. look.

Harvey Elliot has been nominated for young players of the season. There’s a positive.

i think the progression of Curtis Jones has been positive, he has had plenty of game time and didn't look out of place. Milner has never let anyone down, Salah's Goals although he could have had plenty more . Phillips has been really good when picked, Trent coming back into form, so there are a few that can be taken. Hopefully it will have been the kick up the backside to a few.

I would say a clear insight into the overall squads capability and a reality check for anyone who may have believed overhyped opinions on the team after two very good seasons. Experience for some younger players and no more excuses for squad players that may have found it difficult to get in the team with the form of the starting 11.

I agree with 6 times to be fair!

There has been the odd game I have loved mind, Leeds at home, Chelsea away, Atalanta away.

None since Christmas sadly 😭.

Spot on, 6Times. It will all be over very soon and the end cannot come quicker.

Think allot of the modern fans have forgot about the most important thing called support. Every season is brilliant regardless of how it goes. Most people don't fall in love with the club because they won something.

Mo scoring a load of goals again, without them we would be really bad instead of just bad.

I second what Jesuschristalmighty has said. Sometimes you need to go through the bad times to know who can be counted on. There will likely be a major bloodletting in the summer, one that is definitely overdue, that will allow us to evolve and improve. Do you think we would have signed Alisson if Karius hadn’t lost us the champions league final? Probably not.

A bad experience can be turned into a positive, so long as you learn and grow from it. what's more, all of this has taken place in the one season that fans have not been present, with football hardly even the same sport that it was. We should be refreshed, fighting and ready for the return of the fans as a result of the events of this season.

For me, VAR (or rather the way our refs are using it) has had a serious impact on how much I can enjoy the sport. The decisions get more and more ridiculous. That's the main negative for me rather than liverpools crap season!

So many good points above, and it has lifted my morning a little to look at the positives!

For me, the biggest one has been Harvey Elliot. At the start of the season we knew he was a talent, but we have had so many false dawns as regards talents that haven't quite made it (Ojo, WIlson, Ibe, Wisdom to name a few) . The last player we had that seemed as exciting as Elliot was Sterling, and (like him or loathe him) he has turned into a proper player.

Elliot, especially without the man bun!, has gone from strength to strength and I can't wait to see him develop as part of the first team squad next season (hopefully) .

On the same theme, Jones is another player who I have enjoyed watching this season. He's young so he's not going to be perfect, but it will be nice to have a scouse heart in midfield again, hopefully for years to come.

Finally, I totally agree that its been good to draw a line under some players, who still offered hope at the start of the season:

Keita's just a dynamo who's taken a little longer to settle down than most players - WRONG

Ox can get a run going and isn't always injured - WRONG

Matip can be relied upon and not constantly have niggling injuries - WRONG

Hopefully we use the close season as a watershed to start building Klopps 2nd all conquering Liverpool team!

It’s not been the worst season I can remember as the Hodgson season and Souness years were worse. But this has been such a crash after so many highs. This is the hangover season.
