Lets be honest, this has been coming, where there is money there is problems, game has been ruined enough by VAR, i've never liked these owners and made that clear that they should of gone, years ago, they don't give a s@! t about this club, it was what they could build to get investment back from, and here it is, belittle our little sport and make it their own, the league cup and Europa league have been dying for years and the FA cup lost its value for owners since the Premier League and Sky continued to pump stupid money into the league, Uefa and Fifa are just as bent so they need to give it a rest, players and agents aren't innocent all this, they have been killing the game for years with their greed too, seems that this could be the biggest Chance for all FA's to put real caps on agents, players, transfers and owners and make the fans feel likethey count again.

The clubs that have joined are deep-rooted in utter debt and the current format won't get them through. Players like Haaland demand £20 mill in wages and it's impossible to fill these people.

It’s alright all the ‘FSG out’ brigade coming out of the woodwork to say ‘I told you so’, the problem with that is that all of the other owners in across the world have behaved in exactly the same way. Owners such as Abramovich and Mansour, the owners that have been the standard that you set FSG against, they’re all going along with this as well.

Maybe that’s it isn’t it. There are no ‘good owners’ or ‘bad owners’, just a sea of people who are so completely detached and apathetic to the values of the club that something like this was inevitable. The only two who have sat out are Bayern and Dortmund, who are owned by the fans. Maybe we need to follow suit with such reforms in this country.

{Ed002's Note - You have not entirely grasped the situation I am afraid.}

Thermo, and his agent will want double that? Add a fee and there's the problem with modern day players and agents, game went years ago but the boundaries keep getting pushed, Anonymous, I certainly haven't been hiding in the woodwork about my feelings for FSG and its certainly of no reward that it has taken this for fans to see their true colors, Jay they got the club for steal, perfect opportunism perfect time for the big wages, fees etc to be capped now.

I don't why fans should give a toss about the esl or whatever really. I just want to see good football.
Might be motivated by greed but then that's the world we live in. Ain't that changing no time soon.
Get in the money join in the ride. Would just love watching quality blockbuster football.
It happened with cricket. The 20-20 and ipl leagues coming in changed cricket. Made way for blockbuster cricket. They were all for greed. Good old test cricket didn't loose its charm. It only improved test cricket.
It could work out similar for football. I don't care about the money been thrown or greed or whatever. As long as the sport as a spectacle doesn't suffer its allright. Its much better than watching the drab football that comes week in week out.
Sport is for entertainment and i think esl would be something new, superior and highly entertaining and I am all for it. Glad LFC have considered it and have been considered for it.
No point in the clubs going into administration few years down the line due to the accumulated debt when there are money options available on the table.
UEFA and FA shouting around because they know nobody is watching if the big ones aren't playing.
