He’s very intelligent and could make a great manager. I loved him playing for us and I wish him every good fortune as a coach and manager.

I personally think Gerrard needs to get a similar job if he wants the Liverpool job in future. In my opinion, the next Liverpool manager NEEDS top 5 european league experience. The only exception to that would be Lijnders if the owners think he is qualified enough as he has been our assistant for so long and knows the ins and outs of the club and would have everyone's trust.
