Lost for words. maybe Keane was right when he said we are ' bad champions' Winning the league seems like a lifetime ago. About to be 16 points of the top, likely to fall out the top 4, heading towards mid table. Injuries, VAR yes its been a challenge but we are so off it. Its now feeling like the CL is our last hope.

Keane is just a brain dead rent a gob with an axe to grind. Hardly like the season Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea when they went from champions to relegation candidates. His views are no more important than that of a drunk tramp shouting at some pigeons.

Fairly sure Keane never had to play CB alongside Nicky Butt against peak Wenger's Arsenal when they were defending a title.

{Ed047's Note - Keane is a class A 🔔🔚

Keane is embarrassing to watch, he’s the equivalent of a radio shock jock.

Keane would know all about bad champions. Remember when Rio got banned for substance abuse in 03/ 04, United were breezing the league and went from 2.4 PPG to 1.4 PPG without Rio and lost the league to arsenal. He’s a tosser.

OP, I stopped reading when you said maybe Keane was right. We’re City bad champions last season cos no one called them that? Did you know that it was the same Keane two months ago, who said we were going to walk the league after we did Palace?

So now he has flip flopped then. So my question to u is was he a hypocrite two months ago or is he a hypocrite now? Also, what are “bad champions”? Could you please explain this expression?

Mark08, that expression is absolute tosh and is not a thing? We’re City bad champions for being 25 points behind us when we were crowned champions with way less issues than we currently have? If the answer is no then, why are you parroting rubbish coming out of a guy who would not last a week in Klopp’s situation and would literally walk out like the coward he is? Just asking.

Absolute BS, we were top of the league for a large portion of the season so far. No team can cope with the amount of injuries we’ve had, you can’t loose you’re centre backs for 3/ 4 of a season and not pay the price for that. The whole team is suffering with that, the midfield is weakened which weakens the attack.
As for Juergen, we all know that he is almost the antithesis of someone like Pep, Jurgen is a highly emotional guy which is the reason he fits this club like a glove. The frustrations of losing so many players must be extremely hard to take. But for a minute, imagine the frustration of not being able to attend your own mother’s funeral, can you even begin to imagine that for a second?
I’ll bet every single person on this site would take a MINIMUM of a month off work upon the death of a parent. The club should encourage Jurgen to take time off the guy should be given time to grieve and that would be as true even if we were sitting 12 points clear at the top. In my opinion the club have a duty of care to Jurgen and if that includes forcing him to take time off then that’s what they should do, it will be to the long term benefit of both him and the club.
I can’t comprehend the inhumanity of not being able to attend your own mothers funeral, let alone what he must be going through after losing his Mum. Frankly if he needs until pre-season off, i would give it to him. The emotional toil of last season and what he has endured recently, we should and must support him through this time. Jurgen Klopp YNWA.

Beautiful post. Jurgen Klopp’s mental well-being is paramount. I cannot believe the bravery of the man to be in the dugout and then deal with press conferences yesterday.
