So perhaps I am looking to much into this but Shaqiri has played well the last couple of games and Klopp looked extremely happy with him when he was subbed yesterday. Fast foward today and Mina is going on loan. Do we think Shaq has played his way back into Klopps longer term plans? He seems well suited to playing centrally so perhaps he could cover the wings and Bobby's role? Maybe not from a pressing point of view but he certainly has the skill, vision and ability to do what Bobby does? I just hope to see a bit more of him as I think when he's on form he's a top top player.

Prob a bit of the fact shaq has been playing well but also that Jota is close to returning. Some time away may give Mino chance to settle into the league and come back raring to go next season. Southampton play good football if he gets games could do his career some good.

He seems a bit inconsistent for me, but definitely good when he is on form. I agree, he seems like a better option than Minamino, and I actually kinda like Minamino.

Welcome to our new 19 and 28!

Westwood666, I think Shaq has recently been playing well and has certainly done all he can to at least put himself back in Klopp’s thoughts. In regards to Taki, i’m a bit miffed at the whole situation. If the guy is struggling to integrate due to being extremely shy then I really feel for the lad. It was clear to see during the title celebrations that he is painfully shy and an introvert. Dropping him completely out the picture after the Palace game doesn’t seem the best way to handle him though. Then again the gaffer is the gaffer and a brilliant one at that who knows far more than me but from the outside in it looks odd.

He needs confidence though, it’s not something that can be coached or forced. If a player comes to Liverpool and has been here a year and still doesn’t feel like a proper part of the squad then there’s not a lot we can do. You can’t come to Liverpool and feel daunted, you have to assert yourself amongst your team mates and back up that assertiveness with performances in training and on the pitch.

If he isn’t doing that here then maybe sending him to a smaller club where he can get more game time will allow him to build that confidence, then perhaps he can come back with the self belief and arrogance needed to play for Liverpool.
