Can moan about VAR until we're blue in the face.

Reality is we played poor today. I know Klopps hands our tied a bit with injuries but i felt he got many things wrong today.

Milner should have been RB, Henderson should have started. I'm not sure what Minamino has done to justify a start tbh even though there's things I do like about him.

Also why Jones played RB instead of a more experienced man in Henderson I think is also a error by Klopp.

Anyway we move on still in a good position in a strange old season.

TUR - the bottom line is that the injuries are starting to become too much to handle if we want to mount a title challenge this season. It’s not just the missing quality that is taking its toll, it’s that games are now harder to win as a result and the same players are having to grind and slog every single time. While they have done fantastically well so far, it is becoming overbearing.
Just on a side note - watching football has become a thoroughly unpleasant pastime. If it isn’t our disgraceful injury record, it’s the appalling officiating that only ever seems to go against us, all of this topped off by no fans and a never-ending list of difficult slog fixtures. Just miserable.

It certainly is more challenging Lowe, although I believe we had enough quality to get the win today. VAR decisions aside just wasn't good enough unfortunately.

Completely agree TUB - I also said this at the end of a post on the match section.

Brighton had more shots both on and off target!

Couple that with 1 shot against Atalanta Drogie which sailed 10 yards over the bar.

We may be crippled with injuries but our best attacking players are available an we should be doing better in the final third.

I'm hopeful this is just a little blip an we can get back on track in the next few games, hopefully with a few players returning.

TUR, I agree with you on how we played but context is required here. You cannot keep expecting us to churn out consistently good performances when our players are dropping like flies on a game by game basis so of course, BHA who play very good football, will be better cos they play once a week.

Right now, we are mostly relying on moments during games to make the diff. rather than fluidity cos again, no time to train and did I mention the injuries thing already?

All in all, we did just about enuff to win cos we are trying to survive games rather than actually play well in them, IMO. What I do not like is the way the VAR just keeps making up new rules on what a pen of handbell should b cos frankly, I have never seen a pen given when both players go for the ball, miss it, striker goes down after running a few yards and boom, penalty. Have you? Cheers mate.

Brighton deserved at least a point we just weren't up to scratch today. Remmeebr klopp said he might aswell just give Brighton the points in an interview last week. It is what it is just need to pull up socks and move on. Hard to draw many positives but I think nat played well today don't think I saw him not win a header. Jota. Gini as always was gini and when he do came on he controlled the midfield. let's see if we can keep ourselves within the hunt by Jan and see what Edwards and klopp pull out the hat.

Red Meister mate, I have to agree with TUB,
1 shot against Atalanta and less shots against Brighton today with 60% possession, we huffed and puffed.

I certainly understand the injury situation and it’s getting worse with Milner going off. I really think we need to dip into the January transfer market and buy a CB, Matip certainly won’t last the cause.

But today you say we should have won, Brighton got in behind us too many times today and had they had their shooting boots on, we’d have suffered a defeat. That’s not including their penalty miss

My worry is that whilst our rivals are getting better, we seem to be going backwards. City are thinking Burnley 6-0.

Droger, you cannot separate the two. You keep going on about having one dot on target vs this or that team without mentioning how that is caused due to injuries and inadequate training time.

They are all linked together and yes, we did enuff to win under the circumstances we are current living with cos we had the game seen out pretty comfortably had VAR not come in to make up new pen rules. Like I said, we are surviving games right now and if you cannot see that then, there is not much left to say here.

As for City, not arsed what they do, who they beat and by how many. Your focus should be on all things LFC as that is where mine is until things get better on the injury front, which will help generate better performances. Again, all these are linked together. Peace!

No qualms RM, that’s what makes this site so great, opinions!

But yes, I do keep going on about shots on goal because we have the fire power to create the chances!

Yea we didn't play well, but you shouldn't have to score 5 every game to win or var will find a way to stitch us up.

Its not about Liverpool its computer driven football and its ruining the game.

1 week can only change a decision if its clear and obvious now that changed?
