Watching sky news there Frank Lampard was correct why the referee did not go to the pitch side monitor was simply because then he would have been forced to give Chelsea a penalty against the devils 11 and why did VAR give that one against us?

{Ed025's Note - i would think the 3 you got away with has balanced that out nicely hunter mate.. :)

That VAR decision was absolutely ridiculous. I’ve watched it a good 20 times and it’s hard to tell but it looks outside the box more than on the line. Added to that it wasn’t even a foul! He got the ball cleanly and the player fell over his foot after he’d cleared the ball! Great tackle.
How can a so called qualified ref look at that in slow motion time and time again and give a penalty? I’m utterly shocked at how bad VAR is. It’s an absolute farce!
Then there was Jota’s which would’ve been soft but we couldn’t have argued about it as he did clip him and VAR says no penalty?!
They are making it worse instead of better purely because they have no clue what they are doing!

We were unlucky as no way did Fab even foul the guy so doesn’t matter if its on the line or not. I was waiting for VAR to say no free kick let alone penalty. Shocking decision. But, Jotas was def a penalty as he tripped the guy and Robertson hand balled in the area so isn’t that a stonewall penalty these days or have they changed the rule again? So all in all we were lucky but VAR is a complete joke as is the ref.

WM it’s only handball if your arm is in an unnatural position and Robbo’s wasn’t so that’s not a pen.
The Jota one he pulled his leg away and the player was looking for it so it’s far from stonewall but there looked to be slight contact so if they’d given it we could have no complaints.
The one they did give had 2 things wrong with it that I thought were a prerequisite for awarding a pen. 1, it wasn’t a foul and 2, it wasn’t in the box. It baffles me how someone can look at that over and over in slow motion and freeze frame and say yeah, that’s a penalty. It was as far away from a penalty as you can possibly get.
It’s worrying how inept these officials are.

{Ed0666's Note - I thought we got away with one with Jota. I thought that was more of a penalty than not. The Fabinho one that was a penalty is bordering on corruption.
