What a player we have signed in Thiago! The guy oozes class. His vision and passing abilities are something to behold. Didn't think I'd ever say this and perhaps I'm getting a little carried away, but based on first impressions, I think he's even better than Alonso. Salah and Mane must be rubbing their hand together. If he can stay fit, anything is possible.

May be his short quick passes but Alonso's long passing range was alien like. But we have some player on our hand in Thiago.

Ur not getting carried away he’s class! Alonso was a average player for us it was when he left he took off! People need to go back and watch his preformances he was half decent not the Alonso of Madrid or Bayern!

Terrific player, adding him into the 11 from last year would have given us the best 11 in the league. Obviously that could be changed if virgils seasons over, fingers crossed on that one. But definitely players of thiagos class will help cushion the blow.

That’s not true Jay. The season before Alonso left he was our best player. I went to every league game that season and he was quality. Why do you think Madrid bought him?

Can’t even compare Thiago to Alonso totally different players but to say to say Alonso was average is one of the silliest things I have heard. But I all ways thought Thiago was a good player but his so much better than are 3 midfielders and does take us to another level let’s just hope his injury is not to bad and same for VVD and we get Alisson back soon.

Had interesting debate on here the other day where it was argued that he couldn’t be one of our best players as he had only played 45 mins. As the saying goes the cream always rises to the top. Thiago has been world class for most of his career and his extreme skill set suits every league in world football.

didnt Thiago deliver that great pass to Mane, who assisted Hendo for his goal .
I reallly like the pass thiago gives to our front three, I can see a lot more goals with his clever passing,
we have def signed a top player in Thiago .
