I heard talk of butland from the championship but that guy is no stranger too mistakes himself which is certainly not what we need . If we were too dip into the championship for a keeper there is better quality in that league like david raya of brentford or Rafael of reading .

I feel a bit sorry for Adrian. Last season when he was called upon he actually did really well for us and then Allison returned and he was back on the bench. When he was called upon again he just never hit those heights again and he started to make mistakes which clearly has led to his confidence going. How he reacts to this over the next 6 weeks could determine his career with us and our season. Stats aren't always great but i read the other day Adrian has averaged a mistake leading to a goal every 4 games for us whilst Allison has made a mistake leading to a goal every 19 games. Adrian has big boots and gloves to fill and i hope he finds his confidence again as we need the Adrian from Sep 2019 over the next few weeks rather than the Adrian we have witnessed in recent times.

So salah are u comfy with adrian in goal for six weeks an possibly more time than that? Personally i think it would look a bit desperate and is always a gamble but on the other hand I am thinking I might need 6+ weeks of emergency underpants if adrian doesn't get his shxt together .

I mentioned Butland (and a couple of other English keepers) as a joke. To replace Adrian and solve the HG issue. But no, I don't really see it happening right now.
hailstones Rafael isn't homegrown and I doubt Raya would want to give up being Number 1 at his club to come warm our bench once Alisson returns. Good keeper though, yeah.

Adrian was great for us in patches last season hopefully the result will inspire him too be more consistent, no bigger game too make a statement .

Plus mate it's more of a gamble bringing in a new keeper isn't it? They know bugger all about how things are done at Liverpool, we bring in someone new and expect them to do well for 8 weeks? The chances of that are slim to none. Adrian is our number two. He's just fine, half of the goals he couldn't of done bugger all about the other day. The defence and midfield were more to blame than him. Give him a break, he'll be just fine.

What I fail to understand is exactly how good should a second choice goalkeeper be? If they are absolutely special then they aren't going to enjoy the idea of being sat on the bench until number 1 gets injured. It's not going to happen, Adrian is as good as we're going to get and I think he's fine for the job. I have no worries anyway.

Signing a new GK right now, is nothing more that OTT reactions and panic buying so you can forget that happening under Klopp. Adrian needs to be helped. The system has to be tweaked to accommodate him. We can drop 5/ 10 yards deeper, don't pass him the ball as frequently Al, ask him to boot the ball up the pitch cos his footwork is non existent, create a scheme where our press has to be on point esp. in midfield so as to protect the defence and of course,

These are things we can do to help Adrian and the team get thru this period where Ali is out and VVD is playing poorly and needs to improve. Buying a new GK will not solve a darn thing cos that is not the fundamental problem here.

We all know what the probs. are in the team. Injuries/ C.V. challenge to key players, lack of form from key players, lack of fitness for some players. Getting a new GK is just a knee jerk reaction that fixes NONE of these issues mentioned. Just my take.

Nerves. Adrian spreads uncertainty throughout the team like a virus. He needs to cut out the mistakes, he’s Liverpool’s back up goal keeper, he has to be better. The blame lands with Klopp I’m afraid, Adrians save percentage is just over 50% for us, Jurgan signed him. He has to improve because Alisson is injured a lot, we need him!
