ed002 will all games carry on being shown live after the international break?
cheers ed002.

{Ed002's Note - The agreement was for September and then extended to cover October. The PL and broadcasters are trying to reach an agreement on what to do next.}

ed002 will the government be pushing for them to be shown live again like they did in September and October.

{Ed002's Note - The clubs will fight against it.}

Is that because they want to see the reintroduction of fans Ed.

{Ed002's Note - No, it is because of the costs to the clubs.}

I hope they do. I don't watch all the games but I watch a lot more now when there are games on more or less every night of the week. Are clubs pushing against it in the hope of pressurising the government to let fans in then. Shame they are against their fans being able to watch them on the tele.

Why? Don’t they get more TV money?

{Ed002's Note - No they don't and they have far higher costs that the clubs have to pay for - the PL clubs managed to persuade the broadcasters to accept a cost deferment for a year - but as an example, the PL need to repay £330M plus £35M per week for last season. Of this, Liverpool owe circa £25M. Right now it is costing the PL about £35M per week as this continues - that is why the clubs are not happy.}

What the negatives from allowing both crowds and games to be shown live? Surely most prem league fan bases will be able to get 10k fans in and still have a surplus of demand?

{Ed002's Note - Neither are viable at all.}
