Klopps press conference today he’s said gomez will be back in contention for mon but Hendo is def out. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Fab stay at centre back to give Gomez an extra couple of days and Thiago to get his full debut with Wiji and 1 other. If Gomez plays I believe it will be Fab in there but if he doesn’t then something tells me he might go with Naby again. I think Jones deserves a start in there but Kieta seems to be ahead of him in Klopps eyes.

JK, I disagree. I think Gomez will start if ready so Fab can play alongside Thiago or behind him. Not sure it is the best thing to leave Thiago in the 6 all alone with Gini and Naby Naby either side of him ESPN with Naby lacking defensive nous and lazy when out of possession or when tracking back.

I don’t fancy Fabinho and Thiago in a midfield 3 I have to say, not in a 4-3-3.
Just doesn’t feel tight at all, there’s not enough pace and mobility with those two together.

I personally think Grujic can serve an important role in our team and who knows, if we actually give the lad a chance he might just offer us something different when we need it. Given Klopp has assured him in the past that he will be called upon, I don't see why we need to rush to sell him right now unless we're just desperate for money. Grujic is a midfielder that knows how to hit the net. He's tall, strong, young, clips along quick enough, has plenty of class on the ball. the only thing that makes us want to sell him, I think, is how strong Curtis has come on, although I see them as two entirely different players. If we go into the season with Naby, Thiago, Fabinho, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Jones AND Grujic its going to be difficult for him to find a game, but we'll be damn spoiled for choice. Wilson is the only one I think we have to move on. Brewster will probably go to, which is a disappointment, but probably best for his career with Jota coming in.

I'd start Gomez personally as arsenal will have an attack set up different to what Chelsea did. Aubameyang with his pace from the left side will not be as isolated as Werner was pretty much on his own. Lacazette will be asking more of our defence and willian too so I'd want Gomez with his speed to play beside Trent on that wing. Use fabinho to bring us extra protection and thiago in there to get on the ball and create openings or spaces like he does best. Gini as the other midfielder and leave keita as an option to add us something different if needed from the bench.

Gents I’d personally start Gomez as well, I’m just thinking with 3 games in 6 days I wouldn’t be surprised to see him sit out in case he aggravates the injury and then we’re right up the creek. I’m also sure Thiagos pressing, interception and tackling stats are extremely high so I don’t really see an issue with him and Fab in midfield together. Otherwise If one plays then the other doesn’t.
