Morning Ed's

I know there are no links but I justed wanted your thoughts, with Sarr being priced at 40m a player that Klopp rates and wants. With the situation regarding transfer funds being limited I was just wondering what your thoughts are on Benrahma. Plays on the left somewhere we lack cover for, 17 goals and 9 assists last year even thought that was in the Championship and could be half the price on Sarr.
Could turn into a quality player under Klopp.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no interest in Benrahma and he is moving elsewhere. He is a well liked player and has a number of options. Obviously it is a big step up.}

Redpathreds I would like Origi replaced in the squad as he is are main cover for the left and Think Sarr who normally plays on the right could swap over like Mane did after the first season. But what I see of Benrahma for Brentford no way would I want him to replace Origi I think he will struggle in the premier league very good Championship player and that's it for Benrahma for me.

Thanks Ed you think he will end up at west ham.

{Ed002's Note - Right now he won't be joining WHU but if they suddenly have more funds they might be one of the clubs who make an offer.}

I agree that Divok should be replaced but it doesn't look like anyone is interested in him. Regarding Benrahma I have to disagree with you on that, I think he has the potential and could do well. Sarr signed only last year and if I am not mistaken in 28 games 5 goals 4 assists isn't great stats even though Watford struggled. I do believe we could find a player for less money than Sarr and it could turn out to be another bargain.

SomethingRed in response to your point about how many midfielders we have, none of Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Milner have the same skill set.

Keita is far too indisciplined and blows hot and cold, not to mention that he gets injured getting out of bed.

Ox is too injury prone to be considered an automatic starter you can rely upon, notwithstanding that I don’t think he has the skill set to be a disciplined water carrier as Gini is.

Milner gives away too many cheap fouls and I don’t think he’s as good a footballer as Gini in centre midfield so there’s a massive drop off in quality and at 35 he’s not what you’d consider a long term option.

Jones is a talented lad, no question, but I see him more as an attacking midfielder like Lallana than a centre midfielder like Gini.

As for Grujic, it looks like the club have decided to sell, which is a shame as he looks a decent talent. So if Gini goes it will create a headache as he plays a specific way which suits Klopps system and I don’t see anyone with the same abilities in the squad, he’s almost the first name on the team sheet. The fact he’s been almost ever present since signing is testament to that.
