ed2, the last info I searched regards Grujic's work permit situation was that you said there is no guarantee he will be granted one.

He got a work permit in 2016. do these expire? Is that what you mean by being granted a work permit?

hi ed2, sorry couple more questions around how the renewal work for mor established overseas players like VVD, David Silva etc who sign long term contracts?

Given that the work permit is renewed every 1 or 2 years is it just a given that the club takes this risk on that a work permit may not be renewed through the course of a 3+ year contract?

and, can overseas players earn residency in the UK that then makes the work permit irrelevant? I'm imagining for someone like David Silva may have become permanent resident after 5 years at City so that takes precedence

{Ed002's Note - Normally they would be renewed without an issue. If there is an issue (such as a player not speaking English) they will get one year and and they will be back to see if it can be renewed. Players do not become residents.}

ed002 does he play for Serbia more now since we signed him if so would that help his WP or does it not matter. Am not sure how it works now since we have left the EU and have the new WP rules come in yet. Thanks again ed.

KC, I don't think we would get that much for Grujic esp. during a transfer window shrouded under the C. V C.V. that is crippling clubs in Europe. Just my opinion.

I very rarely watch Bundesliga. So question to all the posters on here who do. How well has Grujic actually done in Germany and do you think he could be a part of this squad going forward if given another chance?
