Ed001, what do you think of the Athletic football writings? R they reliable in your opinion mate?

{Ed001's Note - not read any, but I doubt they are any better than any other publication as they just consist of people gathered from those places.}

I think some of the stuff on the Athletic is superb, particularly the in depth articles. I read a brilliant one a while back about Antonio Conte and why he is so disliked by Lecce fans. If you are looking for intelligent and insightful football articles then I recommend the Athletic.

It might be well informative and well written mate but that doesn't mean I believe it lol. As u say they just get the best local writers about to write for them. Cheers.

Don’t believe what? They rarely get involved in transfer rumours, it’s mostly interviews, tactical analysis and articles written by people who know what they are talking about.

The problem is that football journalism is an oxymoron in this era. I’ve read some articles off The Athletic and they’re decent but I’m not willing to pay for the privilege when so much else is free these days. I’ll stick to my informed in depth analysis here!
