Didn't even realise clyne had the number 2 shirt. Who do we think it should go to? Gomez?

Few numbers up for grabs. Maybe Trent?

Gomez or Trent. 6 is available too.

Of course they might want to keep the numbers they have.

We should retire it in remembrance of sick note.

TAA made the no. 66 cool. Why change it?

Fabinho will take it.

I want Fabinho to take number 6.Leaving 3 open for Robbo. I want Trent to take number 2.

Think trent may keep 66, why change it?

The No. 66 is unique to Trent and he still harbors a switch to midfield, so the No. 2 might not be needed when Trent is plastered over No. 66 like crazy!

Trent 2, gomez 6.

No need for Trent to change 66, he is making it iconic. A unique player with an accordingly unique number.

Spot on, LoweLFC. There is already a mural near Anfield with Trent and the no. 66 on there. Trent is now an LFC icon, a role model for kids all over the city and has made that number unique and iconic. Don’t be surprised if you see young LFC players start getting that shirt and number. Again, why change that?

{Ed001's Note - Trent has refused to change his number in the past as he didn't want kids who already had stuff with his number on have to change it. I would be surprised if he changed now, he is an icon in the city with the number 66.}

66 will be retired with Trent - hope he has the next 10 years at Anfield, could be the next LFC captain.

Spot on, KingCarlos. 66 is Trent and vice-versa. Long may it continue.
