Saw poster earlier say nothing worse for Brewster than him returning and sitting on our bench.

Firstly, someone has to sit on our bench otherwise would be a bit risky.

Secondly, if he's good enough he'll get plenty of game time with all the competitions plus rotation.

We aren't going to spend big on an attacker it seems so I'd rather Brewster be able to help us win games than be somewhere else unable to.

OP, Brewster needs to be playing regularly and he is, and killing it right now at Swansea. Why? It's cos he plays every week, something that would not have happened here cos if "he was good enuff", he would have been playing and not needed the loan in spite of the tonne of games we had this season.

Next season? We shall see. It will depend on what happens in the summer and what is available. IMO if Brewster can't get the games he needs to improve cos clearly he is talented, he should be playing elsewhere and not rotting on the bench esp. if we want the best for him. Just my take.

With all the games we have and origi not lighting it up per se I can't fathom that he won't get "decent" game time no?

Pretty short sighted view on Brewster i feel. Your only reason to bring him back it seems is that we need people to fill the bench. we have plenty who do that already with some not even making the bench when the majority of the squad is fit. i'd rather him continue to learn and evolve and come back to us as a 5-10 year starter having moulded himself during plenty of quality game time. you say if he is good enough he will get game time, the reality at the moment is that he isn't. Only my opinion and you are entitled to yours.

But is that not the reason he is on loan op, because he is not good enough yet to either replace firmino or challenge origi on the bench. As it stands he had a year out with injury and sat on the bench for half a season until he got his loan. He is coming to a crunch point in his career, 19 soon to be 20, he needs regular game time now to develop his game, so I'm in favour of him staying on loan for now I'm afraid. Look how game time has developed sancho into a world class player, give brewster time to do the same I say.

{Ed001's Note - when Sancho becomes a world class player people might agree, but he is nowhere near world class as it stands.}
