Yesterday showed how important Bobby is to our team.

I agree he needs more goals, and yes he's not been firing on all cylinders of late but he's the crucial link to the front three. He's pressing from the front also plays a big part in us winning the ball back in the opponent's final third, where we can be devastatingly lethal when we get it right.

No arguments with that Drogie, fully agree. Bobby is probably my fav player. But when he, or any of the other strikers, are going thru a bad spell (or injured) wouldn't it be great to have a top class option to bring in that is going to score us goals regularly. Probably nothing going to happen this year so we will begin next season with Origi as first choice sub again.

Top class players are not likely to come to us to sit on the bench and provide back up and we can’t afford to pay someone top wages to do so either.

I was closely watching for the difference to shape when origi plays and it is very clear. Origi does not drop into midfield to collect the ball and there for doesn't drag defenders out of space so the low block was easily applied against us until Bobby came on. Nothing against origi because that's not how he plays.

However, for salah and mane to be most effective they need a centre forward who will drop into those holes and pull players from their position, additionally play those balls earlier with a touch of trickery which what firmino does perfectly. When firmino is not even in form he does this well and this is why we need him in the starting 11. Would love to see hi. Bang in an extra 10 a season though.

we are not asking for world-class payers but somebody who can at least play in our system effectively.
origi has been here for 6 years and came before our front 3 and still, he cannot command a starting place consistently.
do you really think our front 3 worry about his presence on the bench when they are having a bad spell?

Rhian Brewster!

I like Brewster, didn't he score again for Swansea on the weekend? Really good in front of goal, but he is lacking in build up/ link up play for me. Mind you, this is largely to do with his stunted development due to injuries. He is one that really needs game time to develop and he won't get that at Liverpool. He should go out on loan again next season to keep gaining experience at a decent level.

Decelticon, what non top class player who by the way, is trying to make it in the game, is going to leave where he plays regularly and perform, to come and sit on the bench at LFC esp. with Klopp who plays the front three near every time when fit?
