Ed 002. it's beggars belief that the champions of England, Europe and the world don't have the cash to buy Diego Carlos whereas other clubs have expressed an interest. Of course C.V. had wrought havoc with finances but that didn't stop Bayern from buying Sane' and I don't recall Bayern selling one of their top players. How Liverpool can expect to go into another season with the likes of Origi, an injury prone Mario and Lovren is beyond me?

{Ed002's Note - You are not comparing like for like. Clubs manage their finances very differently and Liverpool have been spending on the Training Centre and spreading player fees out over long periods.}

I do get what Vonbp is saying Ed but it becomes clear when you explain our situation on finances. I do feel we still Need to keep looking to move forward and improve though as other teams will improve.

We need to shift some players on to make some funds.

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure how much would be raised, you then need to deduct 25% of it, you then need to have the owners make it available. The club is top of the table and doing fine - and with the youngsters should be able to carry on at a high level.}

People need to remember we made £80m last year on matchday, which might not happen all next season!

I’d rather us focus on getting the new training ground done and continue with the expansion of Anfield, we have some of the best players on the planet, very difficult to buy a player to replace them.

This is getting very boring now, Ed002 has explained the situation numerous times, the liverpool chairman has explained the situation, The manager has explained the situation, if you want to sell Mane, Firmino, Salah, Alisson, VVD, TAA, then maybe we could go on a shopping spree.
I may be wrong but from what i could gather by reading the posts we have already spent our money, maybe the owners should now sell up as they have totally and utterly failed to improve us, on and off the pitch.
Stop getting upset by what other clubs are doing and just have faith in what everybody connected with Lfc are doing, and as we speak they are doing very well indeed.

As we have seen spending £50mil on ‘the best player in Germany’ doesn’t guarantee he will be a success in the PL.
I wanted Werner, I wanted Pulisic last season, I wouldn’t mind Brandt, Thiago or whoever but that doesn’t mean it would be the right thing to do. I also trust the club and Klopp to do the right thing.
They have put us back on top. In Europe, the world and now the PL. We will be challenging next season and that’s the main thing.
Will we defend our title? Maybe, maybe not but the fact that we are even in with a shout is enough for me.

My biggest worry is if we haven’t got any money then what about the clubs at the level who would look to buy the players we are looking to move on financial state be. At this rate we might have to pay teams to take a Lovren, Wilson or Shaq off our hands 😉.

{Ed002's Note - All clubs are impacted financially and some could go bust, and some of the high-rollers who live on the edge will struggle for a year or two.}

Ed002 thank you for the reply. My comment was very much tongue in cheek. However you make an excellent point. Hopefully all clubs can come through this time and would be nice to see some of the big clubs help out Their local smaller clubs if needed (City maybe helping UTD) I couldn’t imagine how it would feel being the fan of a club and it goes bust.

{Ed002's Note - It is going to be a real tough time and as I have explained England Will unfortunately suffer the major issues.}
