I think this upcoming window is crucial, the players departing need to be replaced with quality reliable and durable players, shaq has barely played cos of injury he was our back up on wings but could barely be called upon so we were already over playing mo and mane . Lallana needs replacing ( thiago yes please! ) lovren is off same with him and robbo needs someone too take weight off him milner is not the answer . Teams around us will be neck an neck with us unless we provide new energy into the squad .

What’s everyone’s thoughts on Origi? Keep or look to replace and upgrade?

Lfc won’t buy anyone and you know klopp is happy to continue as normal but I agree there’s no way the league will be the same just much harder and lfc need more quality and not to rely on mane an salah all the time it’s getting really stupid now - I like origi but he has to go as he never plays as a first teamer.

Origi's best through the middle, and is good enough there as a squad option or alternative type of striker to Bobby. But because he doesn't play the same way as Bobby, Klopp usually plays him left wing to keep the shape of the front 3. But he's ineffective in that position, imo.

If Klopp doesn't want to use him as a striker, we should move him on if we can find a more suitable player to cover the left wing.

Werner would of been the upgrade imo. Who could we possibly get in for cheap who would be willing to sit on the bench and come in when needed without reducing our front 3 quality? He does need replacing though the issue is with whom.

Keep him for derbies at anfield .

For me I do like him but I think we need to upgrade
But would someone come in knowing they are likely to be on the bench more often then not.

Just asking. Williams ever played LB before?

Jk23 I would like an upgrade on Origi but keeping him for one more year and letting Brewster have a full season on loan might be the best option. I think a CB and a left back cover are needed more than anything would like Jamal Lewis from Norwich if they go down that would be great cover for both full backs with Williams at right back. We need a cb as matip is injured far to much and Lovren just can't be trusted as he just seem to make the same mistakes every time he plays.

I actually think we need someone too keep bobby worried for his position, as world class as he has been his influence has dipped in terms of consistent performances and goals yes Salah and mane bang them in but it would be nice for goals too be spread out more from midfield and our main striker as its a lot of pressure on salah and mane year in year out with same tactics, we need fresh energy .

Hailstones, this summer will be crucial for all clubs all over Europe due to C. V and NO club, not even Chelsea is out of the woods yet even tho, they have a lot more wiggle room than many others. You cannot "provide new energy" when there is very little available. Those are the facts.

As Ed02 has said, most clubs will record a loss this season and LFC is even more dire cos we have bills that are coming due hence, next to no wiggle room to operate and replace the players leaving with the ones you and I would like. City as well, do not know what will happen to them per CL ban or not or if they can even sign the players they want.

Therefore, regardless of what you want and who you want, the current reality will dictate that and I for one, am interested to see how we get thru this. Clamoring for new blood when it may not b feasible is not a solution, IMO. It's like preaching to the choir.

If we can't sign anyone then so be it and that is a reality you and I should be able to accept and move on from even tho, Ed02 said if there are things in the works that could allow us to make 1 or 2 additions provided we are able to sell the players at reasonable price under the circumstances. Let's wait and see first before making a judgment on who will be neck and neck with who next season.

Williams has a strong right foot, I think playing him on the left would be a mistake.

If we buy a striker who comes and sits on the bench a lot, their confidence is going to be low. In origi we have an unusual situation. He must be confident, scored some massive goals for our club. But doesn't kick up a fuss about not starting.
And while he is a striker and is better through the middle, I like him on the left, especially against a tired rb. He's scored some big goals from the left. It gives him a bit more time on the ball to set up his right foot (which is as sweet as any forward or player at the club) and I feel like it would be a bit of a kick in the teeth for him. Like I said, he has scored some big goals for us this season and last. More pressing issues. Lovren will need replacing. Philips vdb and hoever I don't trust against a top side. I'm not so worried about shaq leaving as we signed mino who can play wide.

I agree with something red that we just can't use Origi in a position that gets the best out of him.

CF where firmino works in our set up doesn't suit origi and left wing he often can look frustrating. I think he could enjoy success playing in a suitable attack elsewhere if we were able to bring in a player to fit us better.

I see minamino as a stronger player to fill in firmino position so if a natural wide player was added I'd be comfortable to see origi move on.

I was never his biggest admirer as I often get frustrated with his play but regardless he will forever be loved for his big moments and giving us some unforgettable nights.

Forwards:
Definitely need a pacy wide player to rotate with Mane and Salah. Cannot be relying on only two wide players throughout the season if we are to compete on all fronts. Im all for moving Shaq and Origi on to fund a move for someone like Leon Bailey or Rashica who are better from the wide areas. We already have Bobby and Minamino to play through the middle so a wide player has to be priority.

Midfield:
Not sure Thiago is the answer even though he is good against low blocks. We have enough numbers in midfield and creative players like Ox and Keita that Klopp hopefully uses more next season.

Defense:
Backup LB who can also be a 4th choice CB for us to replace Lovren. Either Lloyd Kelly or Ben white would be great if Lovren (hopefully) moves on.

So Shaq, Origi, Wilson, Ejaria, Kane, Grujic, Karius, Awoniyi ect out.
Bailey/ Rashica, Kelly/ White and maybe a creative midfielder like Aouar or Thiago if Keita does not step up.
