ed001 is there a midfielder out there you would like us to sign for when Milner leaves or hangs up his boots a player like him Henderson and Gini as I think them 3 are all the same type of player for us and so important on how we play and they are all 30 this year. I don't see Ox or Keita as the same sort of players.

Only one player. Fabian Ruiz from Napoli. Such a class act. Vision, technique, skill and he is young too. Reminds me of every bit of the great Santi Carzola. We have to get one imo. All the above are nearing their 30’s.

ed001 it is a little to early to know but if Neco Williams steps up next season, Do you think Trent could do there jobs he has got the work rate. But they would be big boots for Neco to fill with the amount of assists Trent gives us from right back. I like the look of Ndombele on the ball ed not sure about his work rate from what I have seen of him at spurs. What do you think of Lo Celso at spurs after a slow start he seems to be picking up a bit now, HE looks good on the ball seems to put a shift in to. Back when we was on the top ed this is when we all ways looked for the future get the right young players in to learn the system before they have to play in the first team. I think the squad we have could be up there for the next 3 years without any new players coming in with there ages.

{Ed001's Note - we need two right backs, so shifting Trent to midfield would just leave us in need of another signing there. Ndombele was a grafter who is unhappy, I would not judge him on his Spurs performances, Jose is handling him appallingly, using him as a scapegoat and a target for his ire.

Lo Celso is technically exceptional but tactically I am not so sure, he drifts too much. Spurs are playing 2 hard running midfielders to cover for him. We don't have that in our system.}

The lad is first class and I don’t miss those. Spurs doesn’t have a proper DM to partner him there and that’s the problem.

Though I’m not 100% sold on Ndombele, it is also true that he was well thought of at Lyon, he worked hard, had a good range of passing, was always hard to knock off the ball and happy to stick his foot in and tackle and we also know that Mourinho could start an argument in an empty room, so it’s very likely that Klopp could get him firing on all cylinders. I’d not be unhappy to see him join as it just seems that Spurs wasn’t the right move, though it’s hard to see where he’d fit in unless we were selling Keita?

Not going to either Ed. I think it’s clear that If there is money (which I don’t think there is), it’s going on areas we’re desperately short in, and midfield is not an are we’re short in!
