ed2 - I must admit I haven't paid much attention to the news at Tottenham and now Liverpool. Before I comment, just wanted to check that Liverpool have done what Tottenham and that the moral issue here is that Football Clubs as private entities, shouldn't receive handouts from the government?

{Ed002's Note - No that is not the issue. I don't really want to open this up again as it will bring out those trying to justify it who previously were castigating the other clubs who had taken this approach. It has been very embarrassing.}

Football clubs are entitled to the hand outs and contribute an awful lot towards tax but does it seem right to you? we’ve recorded record profits, can afford to pay 12 players over £100k a week, fork out millions in transfer fees but can’t afford to pay our non-playing staff?

The money Liverpool are taking from the government could have been used to fund the NHS. It's disgraceful.
