Cheers for that ed mate, very sad about the lad, out for a pint and never coming home. Hope your well mate, have a good day.

{Ed001's Note - it is a shame, I remember him well when he was linked with a move from Cardiff, I can't remember who to, but I asked a mutual friend to ask him about it. The team after him were a bigger team offering more money and obviously a large signing bonus, plus Cardiff were in the Championship and the other team was in the Prem.

Whittingham was clear though, the money was of no interest to him, he was only interested in what was best for his family. His family were happy and settled there and so he was staying put unless Cardiff wanted him out. Seemed to be a really nice family lad from what my mate told me about him. Such a shame, 35, recently retired so he could enjoy his family life. His life should have been just beginning!}

That is just an awful shame. Just when he’s about to embark on another adventure altogether.

{Ed001's Note - life has a way of kicking us all in the teeth.}

Almost right Ed, life seems target those that least deserve the kick in the teeth.

{Ed001's Note - that does seem to be the way it is. You just have to hope that whatever comes next is better and it is life's way of rewarding you by getting you there quicker. It is very hard on those left behind though. Whittingham's wife and kids must be broken right now.}

Rip to the fella. Seemed to be one decent man.
