A question for Eds 1 and 2.

If the season was not to be completed at all, how would you end the season?

Null and void, postpone for a year, other.

Thanks

Marc.

{Ed002's Note - Obviously most people want it completed Marc. If that is not possible they need to draw a line across now and head for the proposal to take the top two from the Championship with no relegation this year and four going down over each of the following two years. I would put it to the vote of all 20 Premier League member clubs whether to hand over the PL trophy requiring agreement or abstainment from all for it to happen. It would create a precedent as last time it happened in England the league was abandoned the title was not awarded. So if any one club blackballs the vote, it would not be awarded.}

The sad thing is, we are potentially a single win away from being crowned league champions. I think it would be highly unfair, for us not to be awarded the title and I would say the same if it was a Manchester club or anybody else. It's just a shame that it could come down to that. I really hope common sense prevails.

{Ed002's Note - I think it the most approrpriate way to decide if the season can't be finished. The Premier League has to make the decision and the Premier League is the clubs plus a small management organisation. I doubt most of the clubs would be bothered by it - but I can think of perhaps four who will need persuading not to vote against or who might abstain.}

Many thanks for your input, Ed02.

Ed it is simply impossible to think that all 20 clubs are even able to vote towards a unanimous decision. There is simply too much self-interest. There’s nine games left, we played 3 a week almost over Xmas. So 3 weeks will see this season done, whenever that may be. That is the only fair way imo.
Then we start again, chop and change or condense next season if required?

{Ed002's Note - Actually it is not a problem and they regularly vote on different matters. There is no self-interest in a simple vote to create an exception to hand Liverpool the Chamionship if they have failed to win it. As I said there are three or four clubs that could vote against it could abstain, but it is not impossible to see them all voting the same way - they often do. If it comes to it.}

It would be absolutely petty for city or utd to vote against it. We're obviously going to win it if it continues. Who would be the 4 ed02? Iyo.

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to name the four as it would lead to the usual issues - and there is no point speculating.}
