Morning ed002,

I think the owners have done a really decent job so far with LFC. Increasing stadium capacity ( with more to come maybe ) new training ground, squad investment, raising brand awareness etc etc

Do you see them staying for the long haul or do they have plans to sell in the near future?

{Ed002's Note - They are doing what they can to monetorise the club right now - particularly with their backing on the new pre-season tournament for the first team and the possibility of using the stadium for American Football. I am not aware of any efforts to cash in at this time but they are an investment business and could look to move on when they see the time is right.}

I would be over the moon if they can get NFL at anfield, be better then having to travel down to london for a game.

{Ed001's Note - ruin the pitch with that dross? It is not worthy of Anfield. It makes cricket seem like fast paced excitement.}

I am partial to a game of hand egg ed001, but as you say the state of the pitch needs to be considered.

{Ed001's Note - it stops more than it starts. I just don't get how people are not asleep after the first ten min.}

I got to agree with Ed001 here,

I tried to watch an American Football game once, because we have relatives in New England (Patriots fans), and my son wanted to watch it.

After the first 5 minutes, of which there had probably been only about 30 seconds of action 🤨 I gave up.

I quite like Baseball (Redsox) and basketball (Celtics)

My father in law, took me, my dad, his friend and his brother in law to Fenway Park back in 2008, the brother in law hadn't been for about 15 years, prior to which he was a regular. In the middle of the first, he got up to go get a drink, and we didn't seem him until after searching for him after the game (which had gone into a couple of extra innings) He went out of the stadium into one of the bars on Yawkey way and watched it on TV because he could see the game better whilst being near the bar and a constant supply of Sam Adams beer.

Is NFL the game where they dress like warriors on the top, like chickens at the bottom, and pass the egg shaped thing around with their hands while calling it football?

To be fair I went to watch an NFL game a few years ago at Wembley and enjoyed it. The whole build up of the game what happens in the stoppages and at half time make it a decent day out. Luckily there was some decent touchdowns that day too.

{Ed001's Note - basically you are proving my point, it is all about the crap in between the tedious game.}
