Hey ed! Hope you're well mate, where in the world are you currently?

Not specifically for LFC but do you see the coronavirus having a big impact on the end of the season in England and elsewhere?

I hadn't thought much of it tbh, but as I'm writing this a man on the train is coughing and perhaps I'm more worried that I had thought!

{Ed002's Note - I am at home in England and have just cancelled trips to Tel Aviv, Geneva and Milan - so will likely sty here through the end of March - or perhaps head to the United States for a while. Elsewhere the issues surrounding the problems will have a significant impact with games being cancelled and games being played behind closed doors. For now the issues are very small in the UK and it is being contained, but statistically the numbers are not big enough to make any sensible predictions. The stats to watch are not so much the total cases by country but the total case per million population per country. It puts the UK well down the list - at least for now.}

Matt in FL.

{Ed002's Note - Matt - I rarely go to FLA although I have a brother who lives in Delray Beach.}

Thanks for the reply mate! It will certainly affect your work for the next month or so anyway, but good to know things seem well in the UK. Whether or not it disrupts the premiership may be hard to tell but surely FIFA will be looking at champions League games being played behind closed doors?

{Ed002's Note - The Champions League is run by UEFA so FIFA will likely not interfere. UEFA has already discussed the issue it will adhere by local governance - so games at Valencia, Atalanta, Getafe, Basel etc. where there are limits on the size of gatherings have been or have to be played behind closed doors. In Italy it looks likely that they will now start cancelling games.}
