Coutinho links is very doubtful
Klopp is happy with his midfield options, and isn't actively looking to add another player into that midfield unless there is a change and someone leaves LFC.

Full back support is something that will be looked at in the summer, and CB options should Lovren depart.

What’s the situation with Wijnaldum Ed? Does he want to stay?

{Ed002's Note - Gini Wijnaldum (CM) priced out of a move last summer and will be allowed to leave if a new contract is not agreed. Naby Keita has failed to step up to take his place so the club will look to hold on to Wijnaldum if they can - perhaps until either Keita sorts his act out or until Curtis Jones is ready to step up.}

Wow I really thought gini was happy with us ed I knew he was rumoured to leave last summer but thought that had passed with his performance really picking up is it the club want him replaced or that he wants to leave sorry if this has been covered it's the first I've heared since last summer (really hoping ed2 doesn't give me the RTFP but if I deserve it I will take it on the chin 🙈)

{Ed002's Note - It doesn't say he is not happy.}

Thanks ed I will be gutted if gini leaves such an essential part of our team over the last couple of seasons and really work hard hopefully team mates will convince him to stay (if it is his decision obviously)

{Ed002's Note - If agrees a new contract it will be OK.}

i got the feeling it was more the club wanting him to leave. but he's really picked his game up. i really hope he stays, he's a legend for his barcelona brace. wasn't it a turkish club that he was linked with? fenerbanche?

we love you gini wjinaldum!

Gini was a certain starter last season whenever Klopp put out his “big game team” and it has been the same this season. I don’t understand why the club would want him to leave last summer. If his contract is running down (1 year left after June 2020?) and he doesn’t sign a new one before June then that changes the situation. In my opinion, he will sign a new contract and stay.

Already in the summer of 2018, I recall Gini being touted to leave cos Fernebahce sounded him out but gladly, he stayed. IMO, I think he will get a new deal cos he is indispensible to us now.

Gini was very good last season, probably over the season our best midfielder. This season Hendo much better, can't remember a game where Gini was a contender for MOTM. For me in our best 11 his position would be most under threat. definitely not a weak link but certainly not at the standard of Allison, VVD, Trent, Salah, Mane etc. When Gini gets in the final third he offers very little and will often stop and play a 5 yard pass.

Gini brilliant at holding the ball in midfield, great tracking back, average final third. Passing limited. Ox before his injury would get in ahead of Gini IMO.

There have been a few games gini was motm contender. Man City was a big game for him. He's been brilliant this season.

I know you like him Robbie but he has not been brilliant. Hendo has been brilliant and Allison plus a few others. Gini some way off that level. Fab and Hendo are ahead of Gini in terms of first picks. He needs to start contributing going forward if he is to remain first choice. It's good that we have the competition for places, especially in midfield.

Mark08, I have to disagree with you on how Gini has played this season. I think he has been brilliant at the job he is asked to do by Klopp and the proof is surely in the fact that he is still first choice in midfield alongside Fab and Hendo in the “big game team”. I do agree that he is the most vulnerable of the 3 though and his position could be under threat from a resurgent Ox or to Keita if he can put his injuries behind him,

Gini's game often goes under the radar.
