We keep delivering. The way the team adapt to the opposition just shows how far we have come. I sit there wondering what we’re doing and then by the end I feel sheepish about even daring to question them.

One thing that is obvious though. Rhythm seems to be really important to us. We seems to play our best football when we play every 3 days. It seems an 8 day break without a game does effect us. Any observations on that Ed?

{Ed001's Note - I think that is the same with all teams. A week between is too much for the fluidity to be maintained. Players just want to play games, not train. That is why we talk about match sharpness, it only comes by playing regularly.}

It does seem to be, to me at least, that it’s more apparent to the way this team plays. I’m kind of expecting a stronger performance on Thu, just because we have less days inbetween games.

I can't see a team in Europe beating us over 2 legs, wolves on Thursday I think will give us a real game, I'd happily take a point and march on.

Agreed swift kop. I don't see anyone coming away from anfield with a goal, let alone a win.

Is it possible for us to face city in the final? Imagine that for a final. League is in the bad (by then) and to take their chance of european glory would be sweet, as well as getting no 7.

I think rhythm is very important with our boys as well esp. with Mo Salah. He seems to be the type of player who simply needs to be playing all the time to stay fit and many of our boys are either like that or become like that. Also, we should not underestimate the great work the medical and Sports Science staff at the club are doing.

As for meeting City in the final, I personally prefer Real MAdrid cos they are the only big team we ha ve not pummeled in Europe under Klopp. Apart from them, EVERY Top/ Big club have felt the full fury of Klopp's Reds since he arrived.

OP I completely agree, we've always been on fire during December and Xmas busy periods and we've often struggled following training camps or with a week or 2 break. The 3 week break before CL final I felt led to the rusty performance.
